Bachelor’s snow pack is honestly unbelievable.
Last week, I had to Ollie water puddles at the bottom of Gadzoom @ Snowbird.
Our pack is light years better than the Bird right now.
I’m really surprised. No brown out here yet. No puddles.
We did go to reduced hours (0830-1330).
But damn, this place is holding her head high right now.

Got back from Banff last week, was a perfect end to the season. Skied five days, started out at Lake Louise where it was spring skiing except off the Summit chair. D Gully was in winter condition with chalky snow, definitely a run that is steeper then you think but a lot of fun.
Once things softened up a bit more I skied some long cruisers on the frontside and some soft bumps off the paradise chair. Skied rock garden for the first time as well which was fun but coverage was a bit thin in spots...
The view off the front side of Louise never gets old....
Last four days were all at Sunshine, which is like the A-Basin of Canada with how well it skis late into the season. First day was an ideal spring day, sunny with temps just under 40. Second day was cloudy and crunchy with just enough light snow/wind to make visibility kind of weird. Day three was one of my best pow days of the season, 6-7 inches of cold smoke fell overnight. My first two runs down the divide chair were a dream.
I skied the divide chair until the powder was getting really chopped up. After that I looked for whatever stashes I could find.
Last day was another sunny day with highs reaching around 40, made for some awesome spring snow on Goat's Eye in the afternoon.

Stayed in the town of Banff for the entire trip at the Elk + Avenue, perfect spot if you are solo or have a small group. Close to all the action and right next to the shuttle route to Louise and Sunshine, love not having to deal with a rental car when I can.

Love skiing this time of year. As long as the coverage is good and once you get used to the wet snow, there’s no better feeling when you have long runs like that practically to yourself.
Wish I was on the slopes now.

These are good for 40% off at Smith. They used to work for everything not on sale already but they made changes recently to some of their pro deals so your mileage may vary. They are good through the 28th I think.

Hittin Loveland this Saturday with family/friends. CAIC fundraiser event there this Saturday.
CAIC Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party
My buddy that lives in Breck is bringing his family, their 2 little girls age 5 and 7 are already rippin blues. Gonna see how our 2.5 year old son like it. He's only seen videos of me skiing and likes watching "dada" ski and says, "that looks so fun!". We'll see when he's there and sees me on skis.

Let's see some season stats people
My biggest season ever, had five days that I didn't record stats which were probably about 20k per day putting me at about 900k and 39 days.

Hell yeah Fargo
I thought I was done, but we had one last family day Friday at Solitude. And I’ll never forget it. My son rode Moonbeam a few times (his biggest lift of the season) and one time going up said “dad I want to do the jumps”. So we did
He was so pumped after the first set, and I was for him. We went down and did it again. Can’t wait for next season!
