And on the goggle topic, I have dragon x2, I love them. Not magnetic change but they have a little switch which is super easy.
Does anyone have a good brand with totally clear lenses? My wife needs a new pair for powder days. She said my light ones were still too dark

No mine have an orange tint. They aren’t fully clear.

I have the Smith i/o mag xl goggles, their yellow low light lens is the best I have used.

Just finished up a weekend in Lutsen, MN. Pretty cool skiing with Lake Superior in the background.

I go with the Anon M5 Mifi system.
Super dark lenses and clear lenses are the only two I need.
Neck gaiter attaches to goggles via magnets. Lense change is quick with the magnets too.
Finally, I’m back in Canada. Cold as hell and dry. No new snow.
Panorama Mountain resort today.
Day 65 of my season.

I agree. I havent tried the Anons and have some friends that rave about them but the low light lens on my Smith Sqad's are incredible.

tyrolia attack 14s instead.
I have a pair of Attack 13s. Never had a single issue with them. I was always happy when they came off. Mine are set at 9
For my new setup, I walked into the shop and let the guy guide me to my decision. I landed on a set of RMU 106s with Duke bindings for my new daily drivers. I’ve never done any touring so the Dukes seem to a good gateway into that. I think I got the wrong brakes as they seem to get caught a bit on the release.
I’ll get a skinnier damp set up and a set of really light tech binding set to round things out.

Had an awesome trip to Mt Bachelor. Was on the lookout for a liftie from Baton Rouge but didn't catch him this weekend. Saturday was probably my best snow day of the season. Had unlimited refills in the trees and the snow was so soft. And the sun came out today so was able to get some views! Even though the summit didn't open while I was there, the snow off northwest, pine Martin, cloud chaser, and even sunrise was excellent. Pics below
Day 1-
Day 2- Got first chair off pine Martin and northwest opened right away. It was dumping snow in the morning, was covered by the time I got from the bottom to the top of the lift
Day 3- Bluebird day. Beautiful views and fresh powder everywhere
The snow off cloud chaser was excellent
And made a pit stop while in town

He heard you were coming and ran off to Canada
Glad you had some good days out there. I might need to make a trip in the next few years. Only like a 9 hr drive from my house.

Sorry aboot that, eh bud?
Yah, pretty crazy. Bachelor is firing right now and I’m off in Canada with no new snows.
Whitewater tomorrow. Nelson BC.

Sucks that the Summit wasn't open but Northwest is one of my favorite lifts, that whole area of the mountain is a lot of fun. I need to get back out to the PNW sometime, Bend is also an awesome town.

Just finishing up four and a half days at Jackson Hole, the weather has been wild. 27 inches of snow total, winds blowing up to 85 mph and snow going from dense PNW quality to the coldsmoke that Jackson is known for.
Thursday was just a half day, got to the mountain at noon after an early flight and met a local while waiting for the shuttle bus who took me all over the mountain. The guy drank at least three lift beers and was a snowboarding machine in his 50s. Told me a ton of his ski bum stories on lift from when he lived at Breck. We skied 24k of vert in just over three hours, kind of felt bad because I was definitey holding him back.
Friday was pure storm skiing with the winds blowing 85 mph on top of the mountain, deep dense powder made skiing in the trees nice. I lapped Moran Face and Grizzly Glades for most of the morning, then moved over to the Thunder chair and hit paintbrush three or four times. Lift closures made things tricky, a few lifts didn't even spin.
Saturday was still windy but the snow was soft and deep on the upper mountain. Got over to Sublette as quickly as I could since it never opened Friday, skied the trees next to Wally World and I lapped the cirque a few times, skied past Corbet's which was closed for the Kings and Queens contest happening tomorrow.
Super Bowl Sunday brought light crowds to the mountain, even with a 2-3 inch refresh overnight. Lapped the Thunder, Sublette and Teton chairs soft snow everywhere with no lift lines after lunch. Moran Face was awesome with lots of soft snow still left to finish the day
Today, I skied mostly off of Sublette with a few tram laps mixed in. Got some fresh lines down Laramie Bowl early. Visibilty was a bit better around lunch so I hit the tram for a run down Rendezvous Bowl.

Agree. NW lift is my favorite zone on Bachelor.
Side country terrain that is in bounds. There have been a few tree well deaths in the zone, so be careful everyone.
Bachelor is pretty mellow but can lull you to death.

Yes and no. Summit only opens when conditions are perfect. No wind. No new snow. Sunny so they don’t have to de-ice.
Anyway, if Summit is open Bachelor hasn’t gotten any snow for a few days.
It’s a love hate thing for me personally. I hate to see it open sometimes because no hammer pow.

Better than the ChromaPop Storm Blue Sensor Mirror?

Storm yellow is universally acclaimed as their best low light lens.. i prefer clear though.
