My favorite run at Copper is Cabin Chute. It’s a regular run with lots of smaller, new growth trees.

Bowls aint open yet though.

With the Superbee still dedicated to racers and the backside not ready, the best trees are off Excelerator at this point.

I read something about Mario Land? It's some area of trees off of American Flyer and High point.

Happy weekend y'all. Hitting up Snoqualmie Central today given they're opening for the first day to season pass holders (ikon). Under a wind advisory and winter storm warning here for 10-18", should be a great weekend in the WA area minus the blizzard tonight.

Driving up to Mt. Baker tomorrow, Crystal on Tuesday. Will add more pics as available.

Fly in late afternoon on 1/21 and head home middle of the day on 1/27 (have to get back to coach basketball that weekend). So we will miss each other by a day. Were you staying? I’m fortunate enough that my in laws have a timeshare at ST James in the BC village but have also stayed in many places at the base in Avon over the years. In fact will be back in late March for Spring Break with my kids staying in a condo in Avon.

The comfort inn in Avon. It’s not very nice but I’m not there for amenities. If I was bringing the whole family we’d stay somewhere nice in Vail but this is my yearly trip and all I want is powder. I couldn’t care less about where I sleep haha.

I’m the same way when I do a solo trip. Stayed in the Comfort Inn many times when visiting Steamboat. I’m always exhausted at the end of the day, so just want a warm meal, a few beers and then go to sleep by 9pm and get up early try and beat some of the crowds the next morning.

I’m splitting in a $100/night basement Airbnb next weekend outside of Aspen. I’d rather go cheap if that means I can go more often.

Rabbit Ears Hotel in Steamboat is a charming cheap-ish spot. Clean, easy, and the grocery store next door has $2 tall boys of Voodoo Ranger.

I’ve stayed at Rabbit Ears before too! When my oldest was 6 or 7 we stayed here and had a great time. And yes trying to get 2-3 trips a season coming from Alabama requires being very cheap but is so worth it. We went to SLC a couple years ago and did an AirBnB in someone’s basement for $400 for the week(very nice family and huge basement with a kitchen) that was right on the bus route to the ski buses. My son thought it was weird but when I told him we either stay here or can’t go skiing he quickly got comfortable with it, haha.

Just got back to our hotel in Silverthorne from Steamboat. It did not disappoint. We hiked to the top of morning side and found a bunch of stash of powder in the trees. it was epic. we'll definitely be back soon. WP tomorrow since we already went to copper and WP is on the way back to the airport for our flight back to Houston tomorrow night.

Skied Snoqualmie yesterday for opening day at Central and then Baker today. Snoqualmie had 6" the night before with all fresh tracks then Baker got 23" within the last 24 hrs leading to an awesome day. I'm exhausted though

Snoqualmie pics

I90 in the background, it was closed until noon due to snow on Thursday so very glad I chose friday

Fresh snow

Baker pics from today. Epic day. The snowboarder I went with got stuck on the first run in like 5 spots in waist deep powder, I felt bad gliding on top on the snow next to them

Steep and awesome

Most of this is skiable. There's a chute that is under the east west chairlift in the back of the picture that had a lot of snow

Will see if I end up going on Tuesday, likely my last day until after Christmas given the sun is coming out here the next few days

I got some friends that rode Crystal today. Hammer city. Big juicy flakes - not all that bullshite hail that y’all think is snow

I also have a group of friends @Snowbird UT, right now. They have been slapped with the same West Coast flavor - super fatty flakes but bad avalanche conditions.
Don’t frick around and find out right now in Utah - snowpack is shite. Stay on resort, virgins.

Anyway, La Niña is the same little bitch we have had for the last three seasons.

Just be the nail.
Mammoth (CA) will pop all season, Bachelor will get hit hard and good; SoCal sucks.

Choose your own adventure

I really want to make it out to Steamboat soon. They look awesome right now.

Hit up Copper for the afternoon sesh. Skied up to every lift besides Eagle (4 minute wait). 1.5 hour drive to and from Denver. Not shabby for a Saturday!

Meh, at some point Ill be lazy and just go to Cooper. Think Copper will get better snow tomorrow, so, going to Copper.

Though Vail might actually be a better bet...
