Thanks for the tips. We'll have to do that. We've passed through georgetown and always thought it looked like a cool little town to spend a couple days. We just booked that Microtel right off 70 for 75$/night . Not really interested in too much other than skiing for the quick trip. Looking at the loveland basin map it appears to be pretty solid . I'll prob ski a black or two the last day.

According to what I read somewhere it looks like loveland doesn't plan to close until the first week of May.

Loveland has some sweet blacks. Hook Em Horns and In the Mood off Lift 8 are awesome and usually empty with some amazing views. If you really want to push yourself Patrol Bowl and #4 Headwall (double blacks) are pretty tough but not mogul-y like a lot of the other blacks out there. Splashdown and the blacks off Chet's are all pretty mogul-y and more difficult than Patrol Bowl and Headwall, imo.

Loveland typically doesn't close until first-second week of May, so you should be good there.

Awesome. I'm so excited to be able to sneak one more quick trip in. I really hope Canada opens back up next year because Whistler is where I'm dying to try.

Today was a powder day at Beaver Creek and I didn't have to wait in a single lift line all day. It was glorious.

You will not be disappointed. It reminded me a lot of Park City but it's special for sure. You feel very isolated which is something cool in it's own right.

Anyone trying to take advantage of this winter storm coming through the Colorado area over the next 2-3 days? Seems like on-the-snow is projecting the southern CO resorts (Telluride, Wolf Creek, etc.) and those in the Front Range near Denver (Winter Park, Eldora, and maybe even Loveland / A-Basin) to get the most snow. I don't know why Summit and Eagle County aren't getting more love on the forecast. But from what I'm seeing, Breck and Vail are both projecting about 5-7 inches of new snow on Saturday and maybe the same on Sunday, which is good enough for great skiing days early next week.

Not going skiing but I have a flight out of New Orleans Sunday headed to Denver. Southwest is giving me an opportunity to change because of the weather. I’m going to wait another day and see what happens. From what I’ve read it going to be blizzard like.

Hitting up Crested Butte now through Sunday. It’s great over here. I’m excited for snow but more excited to get out of the crowds for awhile.

Thanks. I will look into that. I was going to wait and see if Southwest cancels my Sunday flight. I’m ok leaving Monday or even Tuesday. Will be staying with family, so I don’t have to worry about hotel cancellations.

Yall tell me about copper mountain . Considering breaking up our April 9/10 weekend with first day at loveland and second day at copper. Doesn't seem like a bad drive from georgetown for a day. Would be on April 10. Hopefully the snow would be good and the lift lines not too bad.

I love Copper, great variety of terrain from bowls to long groomers. The mountain is laid out with tougher terrain on the left side and it gets easier as you go right.

The Center and West Village area would be ideal for someone who likes blues and greens. A lot of runs you will like off of American Flyer and the Timberline Express. Super Bee has the tougher blues but they are long cruisers if you like that sort of thing. Rosi's run is a pretty approachable groomed black run but it can get a bit icey, you can avoid that if it is icey. Andy's Encore might be one of my favorite blue runs anywhere. That area gets ton of snowmaking earlier in the year so it should be solid.

I could go on but then we would be talking about tougher terrain. Copper is probably my second favorite place to ski in CO after Steamboat.

Yeah, last time I was in Vail lift lines were long and it took a while just to get where I wanted. It was kind of like Steamboat where the base area is a cluster but there are other bottlenecks. Vail is a fun place to ski...would love to hit the back bowls on a powder day. That said, I also like the vibe more at Copper.

I would also bet Copper has better snow that late, Vail is at a fairly low elevation for CO.

Great. I think that settles it for me. loveland and copper it is .. Last question and I'll leave ya alone. Lol. I see copper requires parking reservations. How far out would u suggest booking this and is it worth it to use one of the pay lots vs the free ones ?

I always park in the free lot, very short shuttle and I would book it as soon as you can for a weekend.

I actually went to do this earlier but it asks for a license plate #/state.. since I'll be in a rental car I can't really provide that yet. Maybe I could just leave that blank or just type in rental. ?

Pretty pumped I found a Groupon on gear rental in georgetown for dirt cheap. Like 60 bucks for the 2 days for me n Mrs jkyle. Hopefully it's a decent place. Called black diamond something.

Yeah, I just type rental in the space and you can change it when you get your car.

Headed to Keystone this weekend. We changed our flight out of DFW to 6 AM tomorrow morning to try and beat the storm. Looking forward to some fresh pow. I'm hoping to get in a little night skiing on Sunday night as I know Keystone has one of the biggest night ski ops in CO. I kind of doubt they will have it running in a blizzard though. Any tips on must-see trails etc. would be apprecitated!
