The Christie lift is the way to go...it may take just as long but at least you're not just sitting in a line

I don't know the stats but Christie Peak Express has to get way more people up the mountain than the Gondola. I love have two high capacity lifts so close.

What are you saying about the rest of the mountain?

Sharks are out in places and not much powder to be found. If you like corduroy groomers, it's not too bad.

Granted, last weekend was by FAR the worst it's been all season. I haven't driven more than an hour and a half all season before last weekend. We'll just wait and see how it goes this weekend........

this weekend will undoubtedbly be worse. it is one of the busiest holiday weekends, freezing temps turning into snow eventually for the drive out, more snow to get the front rangers all ready to go again similar to last weekend, and it will ultimately top last weekend you can bet your arse. i've come to terms with the fact i'll be doing backcountry in the park to avoid it all and keep my sanity but also

I thought they were supposed to be limiting the amount of people with reservation dates, or was that just all bullshite?

We have a 4 day IKON pass but Sunday is blacked out for us so we can only use it for 3 days.

We couple have bought a single day pass for Sunday but they quit selling them. Plus they were $250 a person. I wasn’t paying an extra $1k just to ski for one extra day. 3 straight days is plenty for us.

We have some friends that are skiing on Sunday but then they must have different types of passes, or they got 5 day passes.

They are, but I don’t know what the limit is. Their website states that tickets are sold out for 2/12-2/15.

They are and that can be seen on the slopes as they are not nearly as crowded as you suspect based on lift lines. I think a big part of the backup is the social distancing. Less people allowed on a chair and attempted distancing in the lines makes it seem like more people are out there than what really is.

Our last day is Friday but we have Ikon bass passes so we are good. Hopefully they are limiting crowds but honestly I’m more concerned about our drive back to Denver Friday as we have a 6am flight Saturday. Thinking about just doing a half day Friday as driving at night on snowy/icy roads in a Malibu doesn’t sound like fun lol

I’ve gotten to the point that I choose an afternoon flight on the return home to South LA. Too many close calls due to weather issues on the drive to Denver airport. But sometimes it’s impossible to do as such. Good luck and safe travels.

Weighing every single person will take quite a long time, and seems to serve no purpose. Limiting the number of people on the other hand...

This is probably it. We went to Disney in October and it was the same thing. CRAZY long lines but it was because there was 6ft between every group.

Sorry we all missed each other.

Seems we did a piss-poor job of at least getting gather together for an après-ski beer...even with kids in tow, the hot chocolate was flowing freely.

Breck was awesome yesterday morning. Barely anyone on the mountain. Driving over to Vail in a little while to get some time in before the front rangers and Louisianians come in this weekend. I'm expecting a cluster F on Saturday and Sunday, hope I'm wrong.

We did Breck this week, it was gloriously empty. I haven't done Breck in years because we hate those crowds normally. Went straight to peak 10 and stayed on the blacks and ended with peak 9/8.

For anyone driving up 70 this weekend... bring all your patience you can muster up. We're avoiding the area until after Presidents Day. Its gonna be gross this weekend at all those resorts.
