Does one pass cover both Park City and Canyons since the merger?
First time going to Utah... would y'all suggest Park City or Deer Valley?

It does, there is lift that takes you back and forth between them if you want.
I snowboard so no deer valley for me but I've heard skiers say good things about it. I've heard they only sell a limited number of lift tix each day so I would assume lift lines are much easier to manage there.

Back in Boulder now and highly disappointed with the Whistler trip. Downpour of rain around base to mid mountain with some snow up top. Hopefully the other person heading up there has better luck upon arrival
Next big storm and I will be there bro
Hopefully you'll have off work to show me the goods and secret stashes around the mountain

Thanks.
Is Utah still good skiing in December? I've only been on the east coast (mainly Snowshoe) and Jan and early Feb are the times to go if you want to have any shot at seeing all the trails open.

It's a crapshoot anywhere in December as that is still early season. This year it was pretty good by mid December but some years you would be lucky to get 30% of the terrain open. The later in December you can go the better chances of terrain being open. Personally I would avoid going to Utah until Feb or March. Typically Wolf Creek gets good early season snow and Steamboat does well too early season.

Headed up to Keystone Friday after work, gonna ski all day Saturday.
The following weekend I have a bunch of college friends coming in for 4 days in Breckenridge - we rented a bad arse house.
So pumped - haven't gotten to ski much this year.

The boat has been great this week, wish it would snow, but skiing has been good. Body hurts like hell.

Glad ya enjoyed it! Sun finally came out for a few days. Crowds weren't too bad for ya I bet.
Heading up to meet my summer boss to go out a side country gate and do some skinning.
A year ago today I was visiting Steamboat and had the most epic powder day of my life.

Sunday was the most crowded I've ever seen it here. Hoping for some good snow tonight and tomorrow.

I'm heading to CB Feb 18-25 so give me some recs after you visit. Ended up having to stay in Gunnison as everything in CB was too expensive, still really looking forward to my first time there.

Kind of looking to do it as a Christmas trip. Probably ski the week before Christmas. Everything I've read said Alta and Snowbird has the best chance at early season snow for that area. Have you been to either one of these? Also, does an Alta lift ticket allow you to cross over to Snowbird like Park City and Canyons?
Posted on 1/20/17 at 12:23 pm to SavDawg8
I think historically they do have the best early conditions so if Utah is your choice those are your best bets. I've never been to either(snowbird is on my eventual to do list) so I don't know the lift ticket answer.
From my previous research of Snowbird, the cheapest lift tickets are through lifttopia but you have to buy them in advance for the exact day you want to go there.

You in the white room or fog? My buddies I'm meeting at Crested Butte said the fog was really bad today and between that and snow visibility was all kinds of shitty
