I'm sure our price is about to go up as a result. I honestly didn't even notice the absence of these channels when I switched to YouTube TV.

YouTube TV is expanding its lineup of channels thanks to a new, multi-year distribution agreement with ViacomCBS, announced this morning. The Google-owned streaming TV service is gaining 14 new ViacomCBS channels as a result of the deal, including news, sports, and entertainment offerings. It will also continue to carry CBS broadcast stations, CBS Sports Network, Pop TV, Smithsonian Channel, and The CW.

New channels including BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, TV Land and VH1 will arrive on YouTube TV this summer, where they’ll reach the service’s over 2 million subscribers.

As long as it doesn’t lead to a price increase, sounds fine to me. But yeah if the price increases that would suck. I can do and have done without those channels.

It was good while it lasted. No doubt a price increase is coming.

So YouTube TV is turning into regular, cable box TV? The only difference is i get to unselect channels. (which i guess is nice)

I wonder what new sports channels will be added?

I don't care really. I just want Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket back. fricking Sinclair.

Why can’t they just do a tiered price system. I wish I could give away the channels that caused them to increase from 40 to 50 dollars

Programmers probably won't allow them to in their agreements.

The lack of Nickelodeon was a problem in my household.

None of those channels excite me. I wish you could just pay $1-2 a month per channel you want and be done with it.

YouTube TV's biggest flaw is lack of weather channels.
