Found your possible problem. Try hardwiring like others suggested. The Wi-Fi routers ATT uses won’t be near as good as one you can buy. Make sure if your using wireless it’s 5Ghtz.

anyone recommend a good Cat6.6a or 8. Probably need about a 12' run

If it is a BGW320, it has a very good WiFi capability. It is as good as anything else with range and throughput.
