or will it remain clunky as hell.

It would also be nice if they made the shuffle feature on Apple music easier to find and by that I mean the non-subscription part.

I just wish they made the radio feature half as good as pandora... if I'm on a willie Nelson station, I shouldn't be hearing rascal flats.

This. I got Spotify premium and haven't touched another music service in months, almost a year now.

Haha. I've got a huge library built up over the years. It would be nice if they would make it more user friendly or streamline it.

Funny.

Apple has put more development into Apple radio than iTunes in the last couple of years. I see a merger of Apple Radio and iTunes happening very soon. In fact I'm surprised they aren't run from the same app now.

Honest question: what would you use itunes for?

I have never owned an iphone, but I find spotify premium to be everything I need.

I just subscribed to Apple Music this week so I haven't gotten around to exploring all of the feature but I haven't found a way to purchase music from the music app (only stream)

It is a media playing program. Why wouldn't you use iTunes? It's a great music player. I also purchase all of my music through iTunes.

That's the thing...you don't need to purchase it. You just save an album to your library.

I assume you mean Apple Music. Apple Music does run inside iTunes.

Then the only question I have is do I keep that album if I stop subscribing to Apple Music?

I guess it's a difference of nomenclature. I basically just play music on my phone and don't get on the PC at all so when I play downloaded music I consider that as the music app. When I buy music I think of that as iTunes. When I stream I consider that Apple Radio.

So I guess you are right. I meant they developed Apple Music more and it is a part of iTunes since you can save stuff to your library but if you can't keep the music after subscription they can call it what they want. I will still call it Apple radio since you never own anything.

No. If you want to purchase music to keep forever, you have to buy it in the iTunes app.

I figured.

So I'm just going to be an old grumpy man and keep calling Apple Music what it really is: Apple Radio
