Wifi extender for home

Don't buy an extender, they are junk. Upgrade to a mesh system or install a second hardwired access point.

I've posted about this before. Had it about a year now and (knock on wood) still works great.

Needed wifi to a nearby mobile home. I installed a Wavlink AX3000 Wireless Outdoor Repeater at the main home. Cost $200, but they make less powerful models that are less than $100. I drilled a hole in the wall of the house to run an ethernet cable from the indoor Starlink router to the outdoor Wavlink. That one cable gives the Wavlink internet signal and power (uses POE).

I set the Wavlink as an access point, and it is blasting 5.0 and 2.4 wifi into a mobile home about 100 yards away, with plenty of signal (up to 200+ Mbps in some rooms, less in others) to stream videos. The whole large backyard area of the main home and the mobile home now have good wifi.

There are a lot of good YouTube videos out there with rural owners installing Wavlinks and showing their setup and results.

I am no IT person. Had never even set up a wifi router, but I was able to do this fairly easily.

Most models you see have external antenna sticking out, but I got a newer model with strong internal antenna that looks cleaner. It's been hanging on a fence out in the weather for almost a year now, and it works fine.

Some YouTubers install it high up on a pole, but the manufacturer says to install at 4 to 6 feet for best results.

I set it up as a separate wifi, so it has its own login and PW for the mobile home resident, but main home folks logged into it once, and it automatically picks the best signal depending on where they are on the property. I think you can set it up as an extension, which might be a tad simpler depending on your needs.
