Hulu live is awesome on my iPad. You can switch between games easily, it gives you a menu to click on while watching.

I have DTV Now and I think its great. I had Playstation Vue before and it also worked very well. Can't go wrong either way. Only reason I switched was for the DTVN AppleTV 4k promotion.

So how does the PS Vue guide and interface compare to Directv Now on an Apple TV using it’s remote (or other service but still specifically on an AppleTV)?

Even though it’s better than original version (though anything would be better than original app) I still really dislike using the DirecTV Now app on Apple TV. The price is not bad nor is channel selection, but I just don’t like it’s Apple TV app.

changing channels should be pretty friendly and ability to pause live TV. since it is a tablet, there is no remote, which makes interacting with the tablet cumbersome.
I've had DTVNow fora while and use it on my tablet when traveling. Overall, I enjoy the experience. Here's my perspective on your needs:
- pausing live TV is not very good. You can do it but it only pauses in increments of a few minutes and will jump to the next interval of that 5 minutes or however long it actually pauses. I wish this was better but understand why its not
- It has a guide and is pretty user friendly on the app. Just select the guide option and scroll through. I haven't used other services (PSVue, youtubetv) but i do like the overall UI of the guide

Ultimately, I've found DTVNow to actually be a little quicker and more stable over Tablet/Phone than Firestick/AppleTV so if you do chose DTVNow, it will likely suffice what you need.

maybe...I pay way too much monthly for directv...but don't want to cut the cord.
You could cut the cord so easily and have perfect streaming on all TVs and save a lot.

I have a Roku voice command and DirectTVNow. I have tried Hulu, Fubo and DirectTVnow has the best guide like watching cable TV.

DirectTVNow tends to not have local channels. I use antenna TV for them and it is a pain to go back out of DirectTVNow to go to local channels. Antenna TV has all the old retro METV type shows and locals.

Overall I like FuboTVs interface and guide the best but they lack ESPN. They have a good sports package tho. CBS is unattainable unless you get CBS all access.

I agree. I was impressed at first but the show you are watching is in the background of the guide. FuboTv's guide is way better.

Philo TV is our streaming service, the cheapest one out there. Works fine on a tablet, we hardly ever bother turning on the TV anymore.
