When/where is the best time to buy a macbook

Kid going to college. I will most probably buy it from Bb buy if any other suggestions. Doesn’t Apple give you a pair of beats closer to August with purchase of macbook?

Once your kid gets their college email account, you can use that to get a discount as well.

Several companies also have partner discounts. We have it with Apple and a few other companies as well. Check into your benefits at work. They’re not always highly publicized.

I’d stalk B&H regularly. They have great flash sales & you don’t pay tax or shipping.

I got mine a few years ago in August at Best Buy. They do have student deals occasionally. Think my pro was $200 off and I got free beats headphones that I sold on eBay. Worked out alright.

You just missed a big sale at Best Buy. I got the low end Pro for $899. Check regularly, I believe they have them on sale quite often.

Generally August Apple does a back to school promotion where there is some discounts and a free gift that is usually beats, also AppleCare is discounted. Best Buy starts promoting back to school that requires registration with a school email, but is probably the cheapest way to buy a new Mac outside of finding an Apple employee to use their employee discounts.

Best Buy sales are the best because they discount their open box stock accordingly.

I saw a refurbished one for $699. My daughter would lose her head if it wasn’t attached so I hate to spend a bunch of money to get a call that she left it somewhere.
