Anyone with visible they are offering to take care of your phone bill for the month due to covid. Just message them. My service has been excellent lately also. And the $25 per month for unlimited has been a huge difference from my Verizon bill.

Never even heard of this shite. Sounds like something you would get from Saul Goodman.

I switched to Visible this week. It's been great. It's nice having unlimited data with Verizon towers with a hotspot to boot.

I've had it since January, happy with no issues so far and price is great.

What's the big knock on MVNOs, especially ones like this (that have good bonafides, being owned by VZW)?

That you get deprioritized?

Does anyone use one for business?

I'm with Verizon but my company pays for my phone. If that ever stops I'll move to Visible. My brother in law uses them and has nothing but good things to say.

Visible is awesome. Best bang for your buck of all the carriers.

It's owned by Verizon. Just a prepaid branch. I felt like during Mardi Gras I was getting deprioritized but no problems since. It's such a huge price difference and I mainly use wifi anyway that it doesn't matter to me too much.

I am with visible going on three months. It is cheap, but it is not (allegedly) just like Verizon. r/Visible has some information, although it is not exactly clear what service they are offering. Supposed to be some kind of "cloud" based service.

Customer service is non-existent, so hope you do not have a problem. It took three days to port my number into visible all the while being stiff-armed by customer service. This was a common problem back then, hopefully they fixed the we can't activate your number problem.

Also, the speeds around New Orleans are hit or miss. Sometimes over 10mbs, others < 1 mbs.

But, it is cheap and I am keeping it as long as it is $25 with the unlimited (but throttled) hotspot.

Site says $25 for first month, $40 after. Are you getting it for $25 after the first month? Do you have multiple phones on the service? Party pay with 4 people is $25 month.

I’ve had it for a few months and have been happy. It does deprioritize and I’ve noticed it slow WAY down when in a crowded area. Haven’t had that problem lately though.

The poster is correct about customer service. It was bad the one time I needed it. But that’s why you are paying so little.

ETA: I would pay a little more if they’d give a guaranteed minimum speed instead of coming to a crawl when being deprioritized.

The most important difference is network performance. With Visible, you're going to be deprioritized over Verizon users during periods of congestion. Some visible users are reporting that their Visible lines see a lot it (ymmv of course).

Outside of that, MVNOs don't offer phone financing, great phone selection, phone support, decent customer service, domestic roaming (which Verizon has a lot that is considered "native" for their users), international roaming, and international calling.

With this "stay home" order, how many of you are even using cell data much? I am using way less than normal.

Do party pay with 3 others. I don't know the people in my party. Look on Reddit or FB for groups that put together parties. Everyone still pays seperately. Just join a group needing someone and your bill goes down. Nothing else to do.
