upgraded me to a note 5 that I bought through best buy last year for $99 and my wife to the s7 for I think $199 got subsidized phones before they cancelled it and I usually got a new phone every 2 years when my contact was up..I just rounded up to 200 a phone saying I would get the newest phone through Sprint.

I guess with Verizon if I kept my phone longer than the 2 years my bill would go down to 140 until I decided to get a new one..

To me it seemed like a better deal..I've heard the same thing you're saying but adding up my bill and what I paid versus what I would be paying, I'd be spending more a month..

165 for 24 months + 400(200 a piece) for 2 phones with Sprint versus 140+66 (for 2 s7 phones at 33 a piece) for 24 months

Subsidized plans with Verizon cost an additional $20/line for 24 months. 20X24=480

480+$340 for s7 Edge which was Verizon's two year cost+upgrade fee when they still had them had contracts. = $819 S7 Edge is $792 retail. It was also sold at Christmas for $15/Month

The $600 difference is honestly fair considering you're going from Sprint to Verizon. Sprint's data speed is painfully slow.

Not where I use it...maybe in your areas? The places I use it get between 12 down and 53 down..

So the 600 really isn't fair in my eyes..I mean the newer phones added with carrier aggregation(or whatever it's called) has been consistently upping the speeds in the places I travel.

The Verizon Unlimited plan touts unlimited texts, calls, and data — but if customers uses more than 22 GB of 4G LTE data on any line during a month, further usage will be deprioritized behind other Verizon users.

It's really not that hard. I have everything on my phone set to update or download on cellular because I have unlimited data. I use around 20GB a month but I could easily use more.

Really thinking about switching. Verizon worked during the flood while AT&T did not.

I switched all 3 of my phones to from ATT to Verizon tonight.

I used to have verizon but switched to ATT for the directv unlimited deal. I really missed the Verizon network though, which works much better at my office and my camp.

Verizon took my all 3 of my iPhones (iPhone 6), and gave me 3 iPhone 7's for free (after tax only)

If you switch and turn in your phone can you only get a free base model phone or can you get more storage and pay a small amount?

Apples and Oranges but still worth the extra money for your phone to actually work.

Think I would have stayed with a company for 12 years if my phone didn't work? Nah...

I finally bit the bullet and ditched my grandfathered unlimited plan. My average usage (6-10 gb) is well within the 22 gb, way cheaper ($30-40/month), and easier to add lines or connected devices.

Absolutely

They basically give you a 650 credit spread out over 24 months.

I ended up with 2 iPhone 7+ and one regular 7, all with 128gb storage.

I was already with VZ and had a 10gb plan with 3 phones and a wireless hot spot. I had a discount because of where I work. I switched everything over to the unlimited y-day and will be cheaper because of the line access.

My old plan was $45 per phone and $20 for the hot spot. $64 for the plan

It's now $20 for phones and hot spot and $110 for the plan.

hmm, my 16 gb plan is $20 per phone line. So it is actually more expensive for me to switch to the unlimited

Plan is $90 before the discount.

It's a $16 difference between the two after discount

And I'm still considering it just for the peace of the mind

Like today I forgot to download a Hardcore History podcast so I just didn't stream it. Wouldn't do that with unlimited
