Question for any PS Vue users - any problems logging into WatchESPN on iPad to watch? That's how I caught 99% of the LSU baseball games I watched - kids too busy tying up the TV

No issue at all. That's how I watched baseball this year too.

PSVue Elite - add Showtime package total $56
HBO now - $15
Netflix - $8
Amazon - $99/year
Antenna for live local channels

That's $90 a month, man . Why do you need Elite? All the sports packages are on the Core package.

I don't have an ipad, but I can watch WatchESPN from my Galaxy tablet as well as my phone. Don't see why an ipad would be any different.

To be continued - think we'll start the 7 day trial with Elite just because the wife is stoked about having Cooking channel.

Honestly I think the Core would be enough for me, but I'm so excited to cut our cable bill in half that $90 seems like a bargain, so I'll let the wife try it out to see how much she really likes it

eta I also may enjoy the Epix channel. Seems like some good movies are on there pretty regularly. Whether Epix and Cooking channel only are worth $10 month, we'll see

I have a Roku stick that works (not very well) in my bedroom and not at all in my living room. I was considering getting a Roku 4 box because I thought it was "wired" versus operating on wifi only. I just called Best Buy and they said the Roku 4 also operates on wifi. I am confused--is this correct?

If that is wrong info then (I thought it plugged into the router) how do you"wire" the Roku box if the router is in a different room?

it has both wireless and ethernet capabilities on the Roku 4. The only ones I remember being wireless only are the purple one and maybe the 1 and/or 2.

I'm inexperienced in FireTV, but ordered it based on reputation and some recommendations. This one looks to be similar to FireTV for a better price. If a friend recommends it with good experience, then I'd go for it. Just make sure that it has all the capability that you'll need for streaming whichever service you go with.

Real simple question that may have already been discussed.

Can you put Kodi on Apple tv 3rd generation. My firestick crapped out on me and i want a replacement that is a step up without paying much. I am looking locally and i see a bunch of 3's for sale and i would like to try to get this squared away before the weekend. Thanks

Where do I find "content IDs" of live games to watch on ace stream? Is there a website that has a list?

Powerline adapter is probably the best option.

Cancelled DTV today.

Lady tried talking me out of it for 10 minutes. My average monthly bill with DTV since Jan has been $225. Of course, I did have some premium channels but even if I removed those, I'm still sitting at $180. They said they could reduce it by $50 more if I cancelled my extra stuff. So.. What? $130?

Set up Sling TV in 2 rooms and my bill will be $50+ fees moving forward.

frick DTV. They always cared more about the new customers and fricked over the existing customers.

Got Fire TV/antenna set up over the weekend. Fire TV is great and I started a trial of Playstation Vue, which was great until a glitch this evening where the stream kept getting interrupted/buffering. Hopefully just a glitch but i'm considering buying a new modem/router to see if it helps.

For the antenna, it picked up about 15 channels. Got NBC, Fox, PBS, and some other randoms. For some reason it won't pick up CBS at all, and the ABC channel was choppy/in and out. I gueas i'll have to try the attic for the antenna. Any tips on what y'all have done when you needed the antenna far from TV in order to get signal?

Overall i'm happy so far - just essential that the PS Vue is reliable and I eventually find CBS/ABC on antenna.

Attic antenna is the way to go. Does your cable feed come down from your attic?

Yes it comes into the attic from outside, and then splits in the attic to the outlets around the house.

You're a step ahead, then. Don't need to run Coax. Just put your antenna in the attic and play around with it until you get the best signal / all the channels you need.

I'm a novice with this stuff. Do you mean I don't need to run a separate coax from the attic down behind the walls in order to connect the antenna to TV? Would I just use a splitter in the attic, and have both the antenna and the outside cable coming down as 1 coax behind the wall? Then coming out of the wall use another splitter to send coax to TV for antenna and modem for wireless? Does that make sense?

eta: To clarify, I currently have modem/router set up in living room, using the cable line that drops down from attic. That's the only line coming down in living room.
