Has anyone had any luck tracking them down after passing the information to Amazon and the de-registering the device.

I had my fire tv cube, fire tv 2nd gen and another fire tv stolen by the moving company. My gorilla case with about $800 of IT equipment, routers, switches, power cords etc was never delivered.

Major issue is this was from a company contracted by the military. So I want to get as much information possible back to the people who operate this moves and investigate stolen items.

I had a shite ton of other stuff stolen.

That’s the way it goes with military contracted movers. Moving companies will sometimes pay temp workers by allowing them to keep whatever they want from the move.

Hope you’re able to get your shite disco’d from your account and maybe they can track it down.

Yea man I’ve PCS’d between countries multiple times and never had this much shite broken and now missing.

My first conus to conus move ends up being the worst

All Amazon said is they can prevent the devices from being used. No way I’m going to believe they can’t track it down

Why should they? It's not worth their time.

Should I tell my son who is in Tech school to not use military movers when he transfers to new duty assignments?

You don't want him to come out of pocket for a move when it will be covered by military and he will have legal help from them as well to recover anything lost or damaged. Best advice is to have an inventory of electronics with serial # and model. They will do a listing as they pack up his stuff, but it's on him to ensure it's accurate and everything is covered.

he should do the military move and a personally procured move (used to be called partial DITY). He should bring all his high value stuff with him, assuming he has room for it.

If he does this, the military moves the majority of stuff for him, and he gets paid for the weight that he moves himself.

He can do a DITY move and then contract it out to any company he wants
