I'm tired of giant phones, but will it be too hard to switch back to something that small? I loved my iPhone 5S when I had it. Still my favorite phone of all time.

I think you should go for it?

I was heavily considering it, but I'm holding on to my iphone 11 pro ATM.

I've got an 11 Pro too and I'm waiting to see how the battery is on the new mini. If it's pretty good then I will make the upgrade. I too miss a smaller phone.

Any way you could try something smaller like a samsung s10e for a while to see how you like the size?

I prefer a smaller phone and use the s10e.. 5.4" seems like it could be a little on the small side.

I’m doing it. My iPhone 5 was my all time favorite phone. Im sick of my current oversized phone. I don’t think the adjustment to a smaller screen will be bad.

I want one. I'm also tired of big arse phones. I need to spend less time playing on them.

A small phone sounds nice now.

I don't think so. With as small as bezels are on phones now I think the 5.4" screen will seem like it is bigger than it is. I just upgraded from a 5.1" Galaxy S7 and I loved it's size at 5.1". Granted I went with a 6.5" S20 FE, but the 20:9 ratio makes that 6.5" not as cumbersome. If I were you I would just go finger frick one at the Apple store and see first hand how it feels.

I’m with you on waiting to get more battery reports. A few are out now and they’re not super promising. Less life than the other 12s which is no surprise and definitely less than the 11s which had larger batteries.
I’ve got an iPhone 8 though, so even the lesser batteries will be better than what I’m used to.

I have decided to stick to my 11 pro, because of the battery alone.

Yep same here. My battery lasts me all day easily and I’m a heavy user. Still a very good phone. (iPhone 11 Pro)

First time I've really compared the new models today. So it looks like the 12 is the same size as my XR. 6.1 inch screen. And while I love the size, I may opt for the 12 mini when this one is paid off in a couple of months. My daughter has an 8, so I would give her my XR and get the 12 or the 12 mini. Didn't realize the 11 and 12 were the same size as the XR.

Jimmy Kimmel said the nice thing about the mini is that when you drop it, it fits all the way down the toilet.
