I asked earlier in the thread but got no response - are you allowed to use your own router or do you have to use theirs?

I have C Spire which has fiber. Doesn't really make a huge difference if you're using just wifi. Hooked up to a pc may be different/faster.

I use the ATT one, but I'm honestly not sure how many 3rd party Fibre modems there are..If you're worried about its onboard wifi, you can just disable it and use your own router/ap

Thanks. I would not mind using their modem but would really like to keep using my same router. Is this typically an easy process to use your own and turn off the router capabilities of the At&t one?

Ok awesome thanks. I will have to look into it. The fiber is much cheaper in my area than Cox.

You have to use their gateway-router as it has ATT certs which are needed to connect to the service.

There are a couple different ATT gateways but you should be able to put it in bridge mode which would let you use your own router to do the routing.

I did this with my Ubiquiti USG.

Decent service. Wifi on the router is complete garbage. I ended up getting an external access point.

Anyone have cable also with them? I think I have been offered either DirecTV or U-verse with att fiber. I am SO ready to move from cox plus we’ve been att mobile customers for years.

I'm almost positive they are phasing out U-Verse except for apartment complexes and places that don't allow satellite dishes.

It's probably Direct-TV, which is a bummer. U-Verse was solid when I had the free month deal (which I returned at no cost)
