Had sling, them moved to Vue- current Vue is superior to sling-
Be advised they are all going up on prices-
My Vue with sports was about $34 now going to $44 and they are moving some channels around to get you to go to the next higher tier which is $54
Dropped cable almost two years ago =- never missed it
The only issue is Internet companies are moving prices higher at a fast pace !

I know BR area has CBS, but no ABC, NBC, and Fox.
I originally misunderstood what you were saying and thought you meant you thought BR didn't have those network affiliates, rather than they are not available on VUe

Many, if not most, chord cutters just opt for an antenna for locals.

I'm paying $40/month for sling orange + blue + cloud DVR. Basically all of the channels except HBO, etc.
OP we don't know what type device you will be using to stream. I'll just reiterate...the Vue app on Roku suuucks. Do your research to find the best streaming service for your devices.

I have a PS4 and a fire stick. Will buy the Fire TV deal if I have to.

Have been a Vue user for a while. Big fan although a little disappointed the locals aren't here yet except for CBS. I have a nice antenna that pulls them all.
They did a recent price hike which sucked but I am still saving roughly $100/mo.

Get an Echo device. PSVue has pretty good integration with Fire TV and Alexa. "Alexa, change channel to ESPN" is much quicker than navigating to a new channel with the remote.

IMO psvue was the best for sports. It does 60 fps, sling and other are 30 fps which made sports blurry. Last time I looked dtv now only did a few channels 60 fps I think.

You can do voice from the fire TV remote app on your phone

You have to have the remote on you and hold down a button.

You can also get discounted Playstation gift cards to pay, making it even cheaper fyi
Where is the best place to get them?

Vue seems to run the same on nVidea Shield, but it uses Google Home.

I have two ps4's and three Nvidia shield tv boxes.
PSVue works fast and seamless with the right equipment.
Imo make sure you buy Nvidia shield tv boxes or firesticks if you cut the cord and want a flawless experience with the best apps and options.
Apple TV and roku suck shite and are terrible solutions.

FireStick doesnt entail "right equipment." I gave my FireTV to my parents and got another stick for myself and it's fricking horrible. very slow in menus and it cant even buffer. Right next to the fricking router. POS

Gotcha I'll take you word for it. I don't have any but see many friends posting about them. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt.
Personally I feel if want your media consuming to be
seemless the Nvidia shield tv box is the only way to go.
I gave my Roku ultra box and Roku stick away. Both are garbage in comparison to what they offer, and the menu for many apps and the market app selection for Roku is horrid.

And for anyone looking for information regarding the Nvidia shield tv boxes I have two that are the 500gig boxes and one 16gig SSD box.
The 500 gig boxes are far superior. You won't see the speed difference in operating from the 16 gig and the 500 gig gives you room for everything install you want and room to download from Kodi/Terrarium and every emulator you want.

We had ps Vue for a while and we're satisfied with it. The roku app sucks, but the fire TV app is really good.
We switched to DirecTV in October because (if you are willing to sign your life away for two years) it was the same price, and I get more channels.

Where to go to get the discounted cards?
didn't the Roku get an updated menu guide?
which local channels are available in BR and surrounding areas for the psvue ?

Yes, if your Roku device is updated to OS v.8 then it has the updated guide that is like other streaming devices.
