re: The Official Black Friday / Cyber Monday TV Deals Thread

I'm not too concerned on price. Since I (hopefully) won't be shopping for my "big" TV for many years, a price drop in a few months won't bother me too much.
One thing that worries me a bit about OLED is that some reviews give me the impression that since it is a new technology, the TV's are prone to break/be defective and the customer support is terrible.

Any good deals on a decent sound bar? I have no idea what's good or not.

I love the Sonos:Playbar but it's expensive cause it's Sonos and I haven't seen any deals on it.

Still haven’t pulled the trigger on a tv yet.. gonna wait it out and see if I can find something better on Friday/Monday

Right now I'll be finding the best deal I can on a 65" OLED.
Only thing I'm holding out to see is if they surprise us with a deal on the 75" Sony 900.

Probably so. Holding out hope for a surprise

When does Walmart go live with all of their sales? Thursday morning?

Best buy had an open box Z9D 65" for $2,350. any thoughts on that?

Definitive Technology W Studio Soundbar and Wireless Sub
Definitive Technology offers the same idea as Sonos which is Wi-Fi streaming. You could plug any of their compatible (and much more affordable) items in any room type deal.
I feel disgusted that I spent the retail price which was the 'sale' last year. ~ $1200 or so. FML

Thinking about buying the 32GB Ipad for wife (on sale for $270). She will probably just use it for internet and streaming. Is 32 gigs enough?

Just got back from Best buy comparing those 2. Tough call, but going with the 75" 900 due to large room size. The 65" OLED was definitely NICE though.
I doubt they're come down from the current sale prices, but am going to wait until Monday I think...post is you see something

I have been comparing the Samsung MU8000 and the Sony 900E. Most of the reviews I have read are good on both and was wondering if anyone here has any further input as to which is best. Pictures look very good on both and only $200 dollars difference so I think I will get the Sony. I called DirectTv and was told I would need to lease a 4K device to receive programs properly. Can anyone tell me if the device is necessary and if so can I buy it instead of leasing?

I’m not looking for a tv as large as you guys, but I’m waiting for Monday as well... seems like all of the TVs that are on sale now are older, discontinued models

I believe the current employee's pricing for the XBR75X900E
is $2,249.99. The XBR65Z9D is $2,624.99. I snagged a few XBR65X930E for $1,499.99.
I was going to purchase a few XBR65X900E for $1349.99 but when the price dropped to $1,124.99 it was sold out pretty quick.

Out of those two, I'd get the Sony 900. Now if it was the Samsung KS8000 that would be difficult.

Just walked out of best buy with the Sony 900E 65" for $1650 total. How you might ask? Well, I had an old smart watch under warranty that was broken and I got fully reimbursed $330 and used that to get the 5-year warranty.
Yeah, I feel like I won my personal black Friday!
