Unfortunately no, other than the TCL and Hisense you're taking a big step down under 1K.

Q60t

Samsung Q70t

UH, what do you think of these Samsung options?

They're both pretty bad. Only Samsung's worth a damn for this year are the Q80 and 90T.

Significantly worse than the TCL or Hisense despite costing more.

Any recommendations on a 65in around the $1000 price point? I've seen the Hisense thrown around but I'm just weary on that buy. I don't know anyone personally with experience with them

I've been a Panasonic and Samsung guy my whole life, never would've considered a brand like hisense. Then i started doing reseach and reading reviews and I'm at the point where if they made the h9g in a 75 inch I'd buy it.

The 65" h9g for 950 is a great deal though it may come down a bit for black Friday.

Appreciate the suggestions guys. I really don't know much about TVs. If it were me I would look for something more expensive but I've been given a budget.

I finally got a notice from Best Buy that if I don't get the unit I ordered by 9/30 they are going to cancel the order. I checked Amazon and said they are in stock but at this point I have no clue what to believe.

Realistically, what TV would yall suggest that would be a next man up after the TCL/Hisense tier?

seems you're looking at almost double the price to jump up from these models for comparable features. why not just buy a tcl and a hisense both instead?

ultimate, you always have your finger on the pulse. what are your thoughts?

I just want a solid TV. Which is why I went with the TCL originally. I don't have the budget nor do I use the TV enough to really invest in one. Our current TV is Over 5 years old now and it was a cheap back then. So it's time for an upgrade.

That's what I was looking for. I'm probably going to keep my order with Best Buy hoping they get them back in stock.

I didn't know if there were $1250, 2000, etc tiers of panels that I can say "this tv isn't going to be in stock, BUT I can push my budget a little higher to $1250 and maybe get something a little better and not have to wait."

If it's double the price to get something equivalent then my best option is probably to wait it out.

i am running by costco today. i'll see if they have any tcls or new hisense in stock.

the online inventory <> in store inventory. most of the time the really great TV deals are in store only b/c costco can't afford to pay free shipping on the cheaper models.

The next level up that you're talking about in that price range is going to be mid level Samsung, LG, Sony. I'm not certain you would get the same value with those that you'd be getting with the TCL or hisense

You'll be looking at $1,500+ for the next tier models. Samsung Q80T is around $1,700 for 65"

Came back to bump this thread on my experience..

Ordered my unit on Sept 10th, date on the order said will ready to pick up on Sept 23rd.. hear nothing from Best Buy today so I call them. Get someone to tell me the 26th it should be in.. then says "wait, stand by" and comes back and tells me that it's back ordered and they have no expected time frame for delivery. New orders say October 10th but they can't even guarantee that.

Just wanted to add onto your experience. I am building a 5.1 setup and ordered a Marantz SR5015 through Best Buy Magnolia. I have all the new speakers in place and set up just need the new AVR, Sub, and eventually a new TV. So it gets released September 15th. I call and ask if I can come pick it up and they say it wont be in until October 5th at the earliest. I wasn’t upset because I am able to use my old AVR for the time being, but I asked what the deal with the delay was.
Best Buy Magnolia employee said essentially - Everyone is building a “home theater” right now. Everyone realizes that AMC isn’t opening anytime soon and that they can get a somewhat similar experience at home. Add in the fact that no one was going on vacations this year and have extra money to spend, we legitimately cant keep home theater equipment in stock.“

I was annoyed at first about the delay, but the guy at Magnolia was so nice about it I couldn’t be mad.

I have never seen TCL at our local Costco, hope that changes. I really want to pull the trigger on the 75” 6 Series. Hopefully someone can put a legit non biased review on here when their 6 series arrives. When I was in Best Buy yesterday, i was super unimpressed by the samsung q60/70/80. The 90 was the only one that impressed me and I am not spending that kind of money on a TV.

Got mine in. First impression very happy with it.

Only thing I can’t figure out is it’s not letting my apple tv change the volume (did fine on last TV). It lets me turn it on and off though. Anyone come cross that issue?
