My Dad absolutely cannot grasp the fact the Facebook Messenger and text messages are not the same thing. I finally had to just give up on explaining the difference.

Only thing that drives me crazy on Apple is the back button on phone it’s so annoying I loved how it was integrated into android gestures making the phone more one handed
all you have to do is swipe right from the left hand side on iPhone

That only works on the web browser
On Android applications have a designated back action and there are multiple ways to invoke it (swipe from side, a physical 'back' button, etc.)

NO BACK BUTTON!! 5. also sometimes in the middle of things i cant just hit the home button to get out of an app. 6. no easy button to double click to allow the closing of apps
Besides gestures have you tried the back tap set up under accessibility/ Touch/ Back Tap? You can pick something for double back tap and for triple tap. Like - Home, app switcher, screen shot, or a shortcut made with shortcut app.

i havent but it shouldnt be that hard to have a 1 button back button and a 1 button home button that are always essentially there.

I mean the swipe right works on pretty much every app and swipe up brings you to the Home Screen. Why you need buttons?

I ended up getting a S22 Ultra. Not a huge difference from my S21 Ultra, except that the new one has a charge port that works.
I did the Samsung trade in for 1000 bucks, and got $500 from Verizon for BYOD.

S22 Ultra is a badass phone you should be happy. The camera overall IMO I’d better than the 14 Pro Max but both good. Ultra just has more options and better zoom capabilities. Android 13 will drop soon too and is pretty nice upgrade as well for that phone.

Yes, I took some photos and the zoom capability is crazy.
We have a small lake in our backyard and we can't see the wildlife closest to us when sitting on the patio because of the embankment. We can see gators, herons, turtles, and eagles on the opposite side, and having a good zoom is great.

Yeah and the camera on the Ultra takes more HDR looking pics that just look better imo. Ill most likely end up back on Android but I had to give Apple a shot since I have never had an iPhone, but so far the experience seems to be much of the same with android having more “fun stuff”, I would say the message app and the watch is about the only thing Apple has over android. The watch is seamless with the ecosystem like the message app but when people try and tell you “Apple just works” is a lie I’m finding out. I have issues with car play and reminders so far. Watch has no auto brightness toggle which I hate that drives me crazy. Also have just experienced my first random reboot. Seems iOS 16.0 is buggy still I know that they are working on a big update so hopefully all the bugs are worked out on 16.1
