Switching away from AT & T Wireless

I’m due for my upgrade and I’m considering switching from AT & T wireless. Specifically, to Verizon considering the good deals they have for new customers for new iPhones, iPads, etc.
Has anyone done this? Happy? Regret it?

Went to T-Mobile for their 55+ plans.

also on T-Mobile for their 55+ plans -- $90 unlimited for 2 lines plus netflix
Had Verizon before... lack of coverage was major issue.
ATT -- hell will freeze over before I return to.
I started buying phones outright, I have control of if I wish to change at anytime.

I'd love to know where you live that Verizon has worse coverage than Tmobile

I did. Still have a work phone on AT&T. At first I was getting way better reception with Verizon (mostly around Baton Rouge). Now it’s close to a wash. Maybe a slight edge to Verizon.
Regardless it’s worth it to not have to deal with AT&T’s customer service. I’ve never seen a company intentionally be a pain in the arse quite like AT&T.

If you're looking at T mobile take a look at Google Fi. It's the same service.

Live in BR and I got tired of AT&T's inconsistent coverage and horrible support. I have had Verizon since January and have zero regrets. My work phone is on T-mobile. I don't use it much, but the speed tests on it are much slower than Verizon (same phone model).

A few years ago I switched to Visible, it's Verizon's pre pay plan. $25 a month for unlimited everything including hot spot. Haven't regretted it one bit. Saves a ton of money. The only draw back is that there is no box store or live person to talk to if there is a problem. I've only had one problem, I got it fixed but it took a few hours to get through the process. Would highly recommend. You can bring your own phone, buy one outright on the sight or pay monthly for it. I bought a Samsung A53 5g and it works great. I had the Samsung note and one of the other Galaxy phones and I didn't do anything different on those expensive phones that I can't do with the one I have now.
