I, too, printed out the template and made a mock up using cardboard. The 6+ is huge. I have big hands and the far corner was very hard and unnatural to reach using only one hand. I also can't imagine having that in my pocket at the gym, riding the bike, etc.
Originally, I was set on 6+ for no real reason, but now I'm leaning heavily toward the 6.

im torn on deciding on which one to get.
At first I was all for the 6 plus, but then I thought back to when I had my note 2...i loved the screen size, but sliding my phone in my pocket was a hassle, and wearing anything else besides jeans, the phone showed through my pants like a brick. Plus the kind of work I do, I cant afford to have such a big phone in my pocket to get in the way.
So im going with the regular 6 black.
So now Im in serious thought on which gb size to get. My first child is gonna be born in about 2 months, so im going to be taking alot and alot of pics now. Right now I have a 16gb 5, but I have all my photos on auto-upload to my google acct. So do I want to stay with the 16gb and continue my uploading or go ahead and get the 32gb??

You probably can preorder through ATT just fine, but Apple.com checks your eligibility for upgrades just fine too.
Have no idea about trade in nonsense, I always sell mine outright, make more money. I think Apple's trade in program lets you specify the condition of the phone and gives you an estimated trade in value. You send in the phone and if it checks out, you get that value. I am not sure what happens if it doesn't check out, probably get offered a lower value or have the phone shipped back.
For the Verizon deal, you probably have to order it through Verizon or go to a Verizon store.

Doing the same. Ima order mine in the morning.
Think I settled on the 6. The plus is too big and I can save that $100 and use it to get the 64 gig

Our kid is 19 months. Trust me on this, get the 128GB

I'm getting the 6+ and my wife wants the 6.
What I'm a little ticked off about is that the 5 (which is what I have) was issued in 10/15/12 so if you got a new one when it came out you will either have to wait or pay full price.

iPhone 6; because the 6+ is absurdly too big. I don't sport skinny jeans, but i also don't wear cargo pants to the office.

Just get a case with extra battery built in. The 6 is so thin that even with a "battery case" it still should be fine in your pocket.

Did it come out a month late for some other carrier? I received my 5 on release day (9/21/12). I'm getting my 6+ on 9/19, so still a couple of days shy of two years, but still eligible for upgrade pricing.
Anyway, I'm getting the 6+ 64 GB. Longer battery life + optical image stabilization in the camera were the biggest selling points.

Getting wife the regular 6.
When I'm up for upgrade in February, I will consider a Plus simply for the battery life and because I do watch a decent amount of videos.
But I will go to the store and stick it in my pockets to see how huge they are.

The 6 just looks better then the 6+ IMO.
