So I lost my Citizen Eco-drive

I found it two days ago. It was put into a box of things when we moved, so it’s been in a closed box for a year. I’ve tried to recharge it, but it’s still not working. Does anyone know anything about these?

Keep it in the sun inside for a week or so. When they go completely dead, it takes a long time to charge. If that doesn't work, you might need a new battery.
Eta: You can put it outside in the sunlight, but put it in a glass of cold water to keep it from getting too hot

My eco drive and my luminox both just started losing time. I had a local jewelry store replace the batteries but to no avail. I got them sent off. Both been gone about a month now.

Have you heard any updates yet?

No. I need to call that place. It's a kinda uppity jewelry store in Alexandria called Schnacks.. I will call them Monday and update

Good. Time to replace it with something that doesn't have a battery.

Hand wound or automatic...that is the question. The manual winders are sexy from the back.

I just got a Hamilton Khaki aviator, no more batteries, I love it.

Tbh, I don't really care for automatics. I have a Rolex, but it's a PITA remembering to put it on the winder. With solar watches, I can just put them on the table by the window where I keep all of the rest of my pocket things

I’ve got a hand wind. I just work in the citizen. It’s easier. Just the light inside is enough to keep it going.

I've had my Eco-drive for over 18 years with no problems. My wife had one that stopped holding a charge after a few years. I took hers to the Watch Repair place on Florida. They changed the capacitor. These watches don't have batteries.

JK, they are sweet watches.
I'm still partial to my Speedy
