Looking at updating for both front front and back doors along with a separate garage. Have Hue lights along several leviton switches. Specific model I should look at?

I've always eyed the August locks from a design perspective since you don't have to totally replace existing hardware that likely is more aesthetically pleasing.
It seems to be reviewed relatively well so I'm interested in people's thoughts.

I’ve been looking myself and there have been enough reviews about the reliability of August that I’ve been worried about going that direction. Frankly, I’m not finding any that seem to be much better than the rest based on reviews.

The august locks to me do not appear too pleasant on the eyes. Would like more of a conventional look. Anyone use the Schlage or Kwikset models?

I have a zwave schlage lock. No issues with it. Has been running solid for almost a year now. However you would need an additional hub.
There's updated ones with WiFi that Amazon is touting at CES, but I'd be worried about battery life with WiFi.

Schlage connect is probably one of the most reliable. Several people here have them, and the support from them is one of the best!

I have the Yale one that works with nest. I like it so far.

I have four schlage connect locks on my house. I got a nice deal buying them on Prime day. No issues so far. They are currently connected/controlled with my wink hub. I'm about to move them over to smartthings. Keep in mind these locks are z-wave and need a hub to control them (wink, smartthings, alexa, etc). I believe there is an additional piece you can buy to make them work over wifi. This would be needed if you wanted it to work with the google home hub I think.

SChlage connect is the best out there.

Thanks. Will check those out especially considering I have the smartthings hub already.

if you have a hub then schlage is a no-brainer.

It's a bummer they don't match my house at all/my wife is a fan of the hardware already in place.
Hopefully someone piggybacks on August's idea and gets it nice and stable. At this juncture anything like Shlage can only go on the back garage door, which I might get it for.
Whoops, looks like only Alexa support. Bummer.
Y'all with one even use the voice feature? I figure it will likely just be automated to lock all the time and be opened manually on way out the door.

There is some good with August but I can tell you that it’s annoying the frick out of me with its connectivity lately. It is not auto unlocking when I walk up to the door and I have to pull out the phone and wait for it to connect and sometimes doesn’t connect the first time so yeah

Ya, I've heard of others having that issue. If it doesn't work it doesn't work. Bummer as the other options look terrible on a front door IMO. I don't live in one of those railroad cargo box houses that are going up all over town that those would look OK on.
I'll use something more stable on the back of the house.

Schlage Camelot Connect set on sale for only $179 and HD and Amazon. Now looks like a time to try it out!

Do you have an iPhone? I think it works much better with it than Android. I’d say to give it a shot if you have iPhone cause it is a good product when it works.

Google pixel 2 so I guess I'm on standby for now.
