S10+ just bit the dust

Not even a yr and a half old
Screen constantly flickering when on charger. Once screen is locked I have to press unlock button 30+ times to get it to bring up the screen. I tried a few little troubleshooting steps that I Googled such as trying it in safe mode. Cache clear. Restarts. Resets. Even a master reset that has deleted all my shite... is it new phone time ? Any more suggestions?

Recs? I went from an S10 to Pixel 5.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but its simple, doesn't have pages of unnecessary apps, and the camera kicks the shite out of an S10.
Also, didnt notice any speed difference.
The only thing that you may not like is the rear fingerprint scanner. I had a Pixel XL for years so it was actually more intuitive for me.

I have altice mobile ( they offered a crazy good deal for suddenlink members) so I am unable to use pixel phones. That's actually why I had to ditch my pixel 3 .. great phones though.
With much remorse I am going back over to the dark side and got an iPhone 12... I don't like iPhones but I hate the messaging between droid and iPhone and all my friends/family have apple. I guess I'll have to get used to it again.

I still don't get this. I have an Android and don't have any problems texting anyone, people with iphones don't have any problem texting me. What am I missing that people are constantly talking about this?

Regular texting is fine but I like to share videos with my mom/brother/MIL and they always come through tiny and fuzzy. Also I'm in several text groups and most every time I try to send a GIF it says the file size is too large and if it does send its so distorted you can barely see it . This is a pretty big deal to me so I'm gonna suck it up and try to get used to a new platform I guess.

You can send links through Google Photos, or use a 3rd party app like Facebook Messenger.
It does suck, but it's an Apple problem. Android users can all use Android Messages and have a great experience.

Gotcha, I don't send a whole lot of videos via text so haven't noticed that, but they seem to come through to me fine. I had the GIF issue with the S7 before switching from Samsung Messages to Google Messages and it wasn't an issue when I got the S20

Yeah I'm not happy about it but I'm gonna give it another go. I haven't had an iPhone since the 5.
