Ring floodlights

Have been looking at the ring floodlights for the front of my house (already have a handful of other ring devices). They have a 3 pack of the Plus for $420 (~25% off), or a 3 pack of the Pro for $670 (~10% off).
What are the chances ring has a similar deal for the Pro?
Is the difference between the Plus and Pro that drastic?

Do you really need floodlights or looking to add cameras for visibility and security?

Already have the floodlights where I would be installing these, but they need to be updated. Looking to add cameras for visibility and security

Can't really answer your question specifically, but I have 2 of their original floodlight cameras. Had them for about 3 years now and have no problems at all. Love them.

$140 each for the Floodlight Plus is a great deal. I wonder if they are about to come out with a new version and are getting rid of the old.
The Pro supports 5 ghz wifi, but I am not sure how necessary that is. It also supports 3d motion detection which is a nice feature, but I am not sure if it is worth the extra money

Just noticed they were both only 1080p HD, expected the Pro to be better. Think I'll be pulling the trigger on the Plus

As a less expensive alternative, look into the Wyze floodlight/ camera option. This small company has some really nice tech innovations/ reproductions.

Just bought/ installed one. $79 at HD. Impressed, so far.

I tried Wyze outlets but I can't keep them connected for shite. Constantly losing connection and needing to be power cycled. Doesn't matter how close or far they are to my high end router.
Makes me scared to try any of their other connected products.

Weekend,
Not sure how old or what condition your current floods are in and if they have a motion detector, but you can use the
Ring spotlight cam to replace the motion detector on those lights. I did it on one of my newer motion floods and it worked out great so far.
