And the fun begins...

Lastly, Steve Kovach at CNBC shared a video of the screen flickering on and off until the left panel just stopped working. Like The Verge, they did not remove the protective layer. This also comes as Samsung sold out the nearly $2,000 device online in just a day.

MKBHD and Casey Neistat had some nice first impressions and early reviews, looks like a really cool device. Definitely the future.
I would wait for gen 2 or so though, let all the bugs and everything get worked out, but early adopters always pay the price especially on a brand new never before device.

Lou on Unbox Therapy had a nice initial impression of it.
I tend to agree with him, I think this could be a significant future with how much media people consume on smartphones now.
Remember when everyone laughed at the idea of phablets back when the Note series came out, then people started buying them in droves, then even Apple caved despite Jobs saying 3.5"/4" screen was "perfect" and released the iphone 6 Plus?
We've already moved to some massive screen phones and are reaching the limit with near-bezeless designs now. This seem like the next logical leap, something that could replace a small tablet but have a phone form factor most of time.
Obviously price is just way too expensive at the moment, but I could see these being $1500 by next year and then maybe close to flagship smartphone prices in 2 years.

It might be nice if they got them to work first...

Hell no, as cool and innovative as it is I'm not paying the early adopter tax at that price. I'd pay $1200 or so tops.
But apparently they had no shortage of people wanting to be at the forefront of cutting edge future tech with it selling out that fast even at 2K.

I will wait for Moto to take their time and release a good product... This is not all that surprising from Samsung

Samsung charges 2k for a POS phone that stops working after a day and that's the best you got? Pathetic...
