We have decided that we'd like to be able to do our presentations on a big ole tv. 75-80ish

We can do wired hdmi, but would prefer a wireless connection....

Any recommendations on how to best make this work?

we use click share in our conference rooms and are very pleased. It's exactly what you are looking for and I highly recommend going wireless.

the wifi based monitor connection stuff is great. Not sure the names of it but if you look, you will find that you can install an app on your laptop, share your screen through the wifi to the monitor so everyone can easily present w/out having to move around the room.

There might be a way to change this, but the problem that I had with Click Share was that I couldn't "extend" my desktop. It would only mirror what I had on my screen. This meant that I wasn't able to present and take notes at the same time without displaying my notes to the whole room.

Looks like you have to install an app? That would be a pain, especially with visitors coming in needing to display.

We have a few screens with the Microsoft display adapters and never have issues.

We use Clickshare and there's no issues with visitors.

I understand that Google uses Chromecast in their conference rooms.

Nah, the app lives on the device. You plug it into a USB port and it comes up like a thumb drive on the computer and you run the app. Once it's running, you click the button and it shares your screen. Click again and it stops sharing and goes on standby. That's literally all your guests have to do.

It takes like 20 seconds. Multiple people can be connected at once, so if you need to go around the room and have several people share at different times during a meeting, you just click in and out of the screen. The more expensive base stations allow for multiple screens to be displayed at once as well. If there is no button sharing with the base station, the base station reverts to displaying the instructions for how to use the system on the screen for your guests so they can easily see how to use it. Also, as you can see, Android and iOS apps are available to share tablets and phones.

They're freaking awesome if you routinely have a need for guests to come into your office and share information from their laptops.

Do Zoom Rooms. Takes care of video conferencing and acts like a Clickshare in one service.

Clickshare has a “button” that you can plug in to your laptop. Works great for visitors like you mentioned. Or you can use the app.

**Warning about the app**. IT loaded the app on my machine and then told me that I cannot use wifi when using the Clickshare app. So when you’re presenting you cannot connect to the Internet. So you can’t use Skype or WebEx and Clickshare at the same time. Totally worthless. I uninstalled the app right after IT told me that. Use the button instead.
