I’ve had Samsung galaxies most of my cellular life from the S3 to the aforementioned s21 ultra, had a brief break with iPhone X, then swapped back to galaxy when the contract was up. I decided to give it another chance now and am wondering if there’s any tips or tricks ex-android/galaxy users can offer

Let me ask my fifteen year old cousin. She's the only one I know with an iphone

It's very much the same as your old, iphone X. The UI has undergone rather minimal changes.
I'd pay the $1 a month for the extra icloud storage.
Make a "junk" folder for all of the apps you don't use.
Organize your apps in little clusters, so they take up less screen real estate.
Download and Setup something like, Bitwarden or ProtonPass. Yes, you can use the default apple password manager, but I like being OS agnostic when it comes to managing passwords. A decent app like Bitwarden or ProtonPass makes it easier to deal with all of the passwords you'll surely have.
Go into Settings and adjust your UI the way you like it. There's a variety of things like, Font Size, Keyboard feedback, Sounds, etc., that you should adjust to your preferences.
Set up your various e-mail accounts. "Settings, Mail, Accounts." If you've ever done this with something like Google, you'll be familiar with the process. It's rather straightforward, but you might have to create an app password for some services.
Log into your icloud account and make sure everything is setup. Even if you use a PC, you'll probably want to at least be able to access your pictures/data from the comfort of a bigger screen.
Speaking of services. I'm kind of a fan of Protonmail.
There are some other minor things you could do to customize your phone, but honestly, it's not that big a deal. Sites like, Macrumors, are pretty good about keeping people abreast of changes to iOS and updates.

I've had an iPhone since the 3G. I don't ask much from my phone, so no reason to change ecosystems. Unlike my PC, which I customize and tune within an inch of its life.
Neither of which has anything to do with your being an amazingly unhelpful poster both on Tech and Gaming

Dude, you're a fricking mindless hack

The last two threads on Tech I've noticed you post on are this one and the RAM timing one. Your uselessness on this one is obvious. But for funsies, here's the RAM timing thread: LINK /
So to recap, a guy posts the specs of his Intel platform and DDR4 kit and asks if it would be worth overclocking. What do you reply with?
quote:
I'm on AMD Expo 30-38-38-96 6000MHz at 1.35v.
DDR5.
An AMD platform with DDR5 RAM timings... that don't in the least bit answer his question of whether it would be worth his time to overclock his RAM. I'm starting to think you're on the spectrum.

Josh is a big tech guy. He just can't use most of it because he stays on one thing/brand his whole life.
Big techie though.

I've gone back and forth a few times but I've been iPhone for the last 5 years or so. Doubt I'll go back at this point.
In contrast to the comments here, it's very rare to see a professional use an Android product in my experience. I assume in tech it's quite different.

I switched from Apple to Samsung 10 years ago and I can't imagine switching back.
IOS is too dumbed down for a techie like me.

I work in IT and have been using an Android since I switched over from the iphone 4. I'm about to move back to iphone here soon. I don't tinker with my phones as much as I used to and basically just need a phones that works. Another big reason is pictures and videos via text messaging. Majority of my family and friends use Iphones and when they send me videos, its unwatchable its so bad. I know I'll have to update the keyboard and a few other things once I get it as I'm used to the Android keyboard, but overall I'm hoping I won't regret it. I guess we'll see.
