I often connect my personal iphone to my work laptop’s USB to charge.

The company blocks USB transfer of data, but I don’t really know how that works or if it goes both ways.

When plugged in, the “allow/block” popup appears on my phone (I select block) and a popup appears on the laptop to automatically open images, etc...

What personal info could they potentially pull from my phone?

Don't worry. Your porn browsing isn't their concern, however, your stash of child porn in your secret folder is another matter.

If you’re that worried about what they can see I wouldn’t be plugging my devices into theirs at all.

They probably don’t see anything though.

Jeez, can you not plug your charger into an outlet instead, if you’re that worried?

Get a syncstop. About $15.

I’m clearly not “that worried” or I would.

I’m just wondering what info on an iphone is available for transfer.

On occasion I will inquire about food on the food board, but that doesn’t mean I’m “that worried” about grilling my meats to the perfect temp.

If you can't find charging only cables, I've seen hacks where the data transfer wires are cut leaving only the power wires connected.

The previously mentioned SyncStop accomplishes the same thing.
