They aren't going to magically be $50 once you see clearance. Most likely will be $100.04 and 4 weeks before dropping to $50

buy them when you see them at any price, then hold onto them until they drop the clearance price then return/rebuy them at the CS desk.

done this so many times the poor lady rolls her eyes when she sees me coming

Hubba here. Ready when you are. Whatcha want for it? All I need is a phone number or email address to send you the funds.

Catch me on a thread (usually on the PT board) and I'll come back here and post my email for long enough that we can share info. Awesome of you to hold this for me!

Hey Cad, sent you an email. Let me know your preference: send it to DFW or I pick it up in Franklin next month and buy you lunch. Your choice.

How long can you hold them before returning? Or is there no limit?

Home Depot will take just about anything back. Keep your receipt though because once these becomes penny stock (all clearance does eventually) you won't be able to rebuy it for a penny at the service desk.

You can still get your money back, just can't buy it again for 1 cent.

Eta $50 is the lowest these will go before turning into a pumpkin aka penny stock item.

Well that's for a refund. Without a receipt and assuming the product is still stocked they'll give you store credit forever.

If you're like me that store credit will get used in about 33 seconds.

So you return them then immediately rebuy them on sale essentially?

I purchased a giant, hot-air balloon Santa. It was $199. I waited until about 10 days after Christmas, and returned it. They had everything Christmas related marked 80% off. I got my full credit, went down an aisle to get some light bulbs, came back up the aisle and I saw an HD employee setting it out on the 80% off shelf, so walked over, put it in my cart and checked out, buying it back at under $40.
