If you add the show to my shows, moving forward all of the broadcasts will be DVR.
Just access the DVR "recordings" from my shows. Basically it adds them on a per episode basis. You won't get any partial episodes, but you should be able to start any DVR show from the beginning and have the ability to skip commercials for up to 28 days

Not sure, gonna do some research tomorrow. Also, I have a fire stick in my bedroom, and while the PS Vue app definitely doesn't perform as well as it does on the PS4, I think this is perfectly acceptable performance outside the living room. $40 media stick is a pretty good option. Delay/lag in the firestick app is comparable to the DirectTV guide at my parents' house.

Agreed. I have the Sticks in the master bedroom (will also run the bathroom tv after a run an hdmi cable to it via splitter) and in my son's room.
Have the the Fire tv boxes in the living room and will add one to the kitchen. These are the tv's most used in our house and want them to work as smooth as possible.
I have the PS4 in the living room as well, but have opted not to use it because I am the only one who is familiar with the PS4 in the house and don't want to have to teach them how to use it.
I am hoping that having the fire devices at all tvs will cut down confusion for my wife as well as any guests/babysitters.
As stated before, it will come at the cost of buying an additional fire tv, but it will save me questions and aggravation down the road.

I just signed up for the free trial and I'm impressed with the service on the PS4. I probably won't keep it because I have an HD antenna, streaming services, the Directv app for live channels, and log-in credentials through an account that I pay for at my dad's house. But I think it's the best option yet for most cord cutters that want live tv.
As a side note... I just watched 10 minutes of Commando on AMC... Haven't seen it since I was a kid. Did Arnold just break into a gun store that stocked rocket launchers, grenades, and claymores?

GOAT.... I had it recorded on VHS when I was a kid. Watched it so many times the tape wore out.
Kids today will never know the struggle of having to rewind!!

I'll be trying out vue tonight. Just finished running cat5e cable throughout my new house and between me and the s/o, we have 1 ps4 and 2 ps3s so we're set there. She's still not sold on doing this long term, but I think she'll come around once she tries it and gets used to it.

Can anyone tell me what ya'll are paying for the 100mbps cox internet. I'm about to cancel all services except internet and just wondering how much they are going to try to screw me with just having internet threw them. Thanks
BTW. I have ps vue and love it. It works wonderful on the fire box but lags a tad on ps3. Still worth it in my opinion.

is there a way to watch vue on the laptop?

Damn I'm paying 72 for only 50. Does Cox negotiate if you threaten to cancel?
Also, fire tv came in today and it's much smoother than the stick, as reported.

Is there anyway to disable the confirmation dialogue of "Are you still there? Press any button if you're still watching this show."
Posted on 4/2/16 at 11:36 am to Baers Foot
What device? I was under the impression the Fire TV box would not shut off when a side app is engaged
Posted on 4/2/16 at 11:48 am to Baers Foot
Oh, can't help you there
Posted on 4/2/16 at 12:04 pm to Baers Foot
Not sure if there is a way to disable it on PS4,
I was actually looking for a way to enable it on the Fire Tv.
If ISPs start heavily enforcing/penalizing for data cap overages, forgetting to turn a couple of these off after use would be a great way to suck up a hefty overage fee if it happens often.

Game changer! Just signed up for the trial using the Fire Tv.
For just $5 more than Sling with ESPN, you get a REAL QUALITY stream of live events. No stutter and judder from ESPN live.
We have a winner. Sling is dead to me.
The interface sucks, but the stream quality is far superior to Sling. Not even the same ballpark. Plus the sling interface sucked too and locked all the time.
DISCLAIMER - Based on 4 minutes of watching ESPN so review subject to change.
