I wouldn't buy the remote. Actually boxing mine up to return now.
If she is getting the hang of the controller, I'd roll with that. Only downside is not having the ability to control the volume.
We are spoiled to our Harmony remote and just pressing one button for Tv, Appletv Etc.
Only downside to switching to Vue I've had so far. With that being said, we are only a few days in.

Just bought a fire tv, do I need to register for a psn account through the device or can I do it from an ipad? I don't own a PS...I'm an xbone guy

You can do it on both. It's much easier to do it on a computer, but whatever is convenient for you.

Not the one I have. Only the ones that are Harmony Hub compatible.

Is the ps4 universal remote the only one available that can control the ps4? Looks like the Harmony can't control the power

I'm sure it's buried in this thread somewhere but has anybody listed out what channels you get with the elite that doesn't come with core? I'm trying to compare the 2 on their website but it's hard with the lineups not being side by side. So far it looks like 4 or 5 additional BET channels and then some shite channels I've never heard of.

Or make the Logitech harmony adapter that worked awesome with the PS3 work with the PS4.

I know I'm a dipshit when it comes to this stuff, but how do I get to the DVR features? If I'm watching a show and I want to record it that instant?
