I have a tmobile version for the unlocked bootloader. Sim unlocked it for use on ATT network. Check the xda forum for your device for rooting and bootloader unlocking (via bump method) tutorials. Everyrhing you need is there. Bump has a website which can be linked to from the xda forums or a quick google search.

Yea, still the place to go.
They have run some devs off to other places over time but it's still the best resource for rooting etc.
