I ended up ordering that same case. It had expected shipping date like Oct 31 but expected delivery Nov 17th to 30th or some shite. Hopefully they ship pretty quick.

Got mine in yesterday. Coming from iphones the last 7 or 8 years I struggled a bit trying to figure out how to do some things but I already like it way more than my last 2. Quickly figuring out the shortcuts and Google Assistant is light years beyond Siri. I got the regular and not the XL

I did for my Pixel 2XL. Had it on my Pixel as well. Like the peace of mind.

Finally shipped my order for a 2XL. original shipment dates was the 24th. Original delivery date was 26-27 and now 30-31.
I sent them an very disappointing email saying this should not happen to someone who bought the phone on launch day. We will see how they respond.

Getting more familiar with my S8 and I like it. Getting things like the edge scroll set up, and the iris unlock is really fast. Don't even really need to worry about the fingerprint scanner. Basically tap my phone and look at it and it unlocks. Had some trouble uploading to imgur the other day for FBD, but not sure if that's an imgur, app, or phone thing. Bixby is a little finnicky to get it to do what you want, but I'll give it some time to learn commands and stuff.
ETA: Uninstalled and reinstalled imgur and it appears to have helped that issue.

They also said they're going to do a software update that will hide the navigation bar after so many seconds.
But the burn in issue seems pretty overblown. It's not something you would notice in every day use.

mined shipped today 
i feel like im being quite bipolar on this phone
but im confident now that if i do have a dud display (burn in) that ill be able to RMA for a good device
the extra year of warranty is clutch too
