Hi Team. Just reporting back as I was in between the Pixel 2 and the S8. I was leaning S8 and was following the prices, hoping it would come down once the Pixel 2 started shipping. Then this last weekend I saw it on sale for $470 at Best Buy ($19.58/month, but I just paid it off). For a phone that is as good if not better than the Pixel 2, and which looks a lot better, that sealed the deal for me. So far I like it but am still getting used to it and setting it up.
People had said the iris scan unlock was slow but that hasn't been the case for me. The fingerprint unlock is very fast as well. I turned off the facial recognition because I heard that's easily fooled. Seems fast, great display, and it isn't much larger than my S6 was.
I went with this spiegel case because I got the orchid gray and like the color. LINK

My 2 was supposed to ship on Oct 30th but I got an email that it shipped today and is estimated to arrive 27th or 28th.

damn. I have a ship date of 26th with arrival of 30th or 31st and it hasnt been bumped up.
But i got the 2xl so that could be the difference.

I'm probably going to return it. With the shitty display it's not worth the 900 I paid. It'll probably drop in price by Christmas
Keeping it at this price would be something an apple sheep would do. JMO

well i noticed yours isnt the XL. mine is. looks like those are getting delayed, but the rep today said that he assures me that i will arrive it on or before the date it says.

Blue tint would be a no go for me especially at 900
The 6p I had would be better and that was only 500 (if I'm remembering correctly)

blue tint is a real thing but its only at an angle. how often do you plan to use your phone at a 45 degree angle?

I had black 64 regular pixel 2 also. Those seem to be most abundant. I think they were already sold out of the other two colors when I bought it on, I think, the 17th.
