Phone upgrade strategy S22+

So, I've had my S22+ for 3 years now and it still is in good shape, battery is still good, but I've been watching for deals. Not seeing much. I know S26+ will be out soon, but not sure what to do and asking for advice.
Places like BB are offering $55 trade in. Samsung app is offering $350 (I paid $0 for the phone when I got it), and they have now offered me $50 more off, so I could trade in and get the S25+ with 512mb storage for $600 and that seems to be the best price I have seen anywhere.
Should I just wait for the S26 family and see what they offer? Any advice?

Battery and camera are probably going to be the only real immediate upgrades from an S25 or 24 series. Depending on what you can get, I'd just go with whatever is available now. By the time OS support stops for whatever the phone is, you'll be looking to upgrade again. Galaxy is a flagship line for Samsung and Android so...not a lot to worry about.

I wait until March or so when deals come out. I look to make jump from S22+ to S24+ myself. Once S26 hit market.

You think the value will be there? Seems to me upgrading to the non latest phone, they really don't offer much for trade in.

Don't buy a new phone because you're worried about potential trade-in value. Buy a new phone because you need a new phone. You'll save more money that way.

My spouse has a S25 and loves it.
I would suggest waiting for the release of the S26 and then look for discounts on a S25.

I'd wait on the S26. You've waited this long, might as well get the newest tech for the biggest perceived upgrade.
I gave my wife my S22 Ultra when I bought the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Honestly, I haven't noticed much difference other than the fingerprint scanner being way better.

Wait until your phone is no longer functioning like you need it to function.
Newer phones are not really much of an upgrade.
