Looks like something George Lynch might have as his TV rig. And if you don’t know who he is, you’re too young anyway.

Sony 5.1 receiver. Ceiling mounted speakers with a a Yamaha sub. I built it myself when I moved into the house 15 years ago. Works great.

I have sonos ceiling mount in my patio, living room, bathroom and office. All have the sonos amps linked to them.
Best money I ever spent.

2 tv's in the living room with 7.2 for each tv and I have them wired together so I can use both if I want. 2 center speakers, 6 tower speakers, 4 rear speakers and 6 12" subs I believe. 2 Polk, 2 Klipsch, 1 SVS, 1 Earthquake Supernova. I have to go make sure the neighbors aren't home if I want to turn it up tho.

Living room has 5.1.4 surround. There center is b&w from there 7-series. There are Bose Acoustimas for the LR and Surround channels in the four corners of the room. I don't like them and want to upgrade them to the b&w m1 (the only component I put it or upgraded was the center. Everything else was here when I bought the house). There were 4 in-ceiling rectangular contractor-grade speakers that could use a good upgrading, too.

In my mancave upstairs, I've got a b&w HTM center, 803m mains, and Sony ssf7000 rears. I just added a pair of Dayton Audio 15" subs. Mains are pushed by an Odyssey amp. Everything else is on a Marantz 6-series receiver.

It's ok, but I'd like to upgrade about 70% of the components.

Still Loving the Odyssey, man! And the sweet granite for my table. Can't thank you enough.

A9F has 3 speakers that play out of the screen and 2 woofers out of stand in the back. Wonderful picture.

The A9F is, in my humble opinion, the best panel television made...video and audio.

Since you were here a year ago, I gave my 55” A1E that was my den/great room to my dad, and replaced it with another A1E...but 65”. It has the same sound system as yours and needs no help, even in that room with 12’ ceilings.

Also...probably gonna do another Open House at my place in a few months...LOTS of big changes to the rig over the last year....I’ll let you know when (as well as the music board here).

I am trying to line it up so I can have Gary Yacoubian here (President of SVS audio—his brother is a local NOLA guy and a good friend of mine) as the guest speaker.

Yamaha 7.2 receiver running 3 front + 3 in-ceiling speakers, plus a nasty sub woofer. No surprise the wife doesn't care for the set up..especially the sub. I told her it can run 2 subs and she said negatory. Received a new 4K Firestick with Dolby Atmos Friday, it is way better than the 2+ year old one I was using. Great deal for $25. Going to get a larger TV when we move in a few months.

Hi Marco, bet your Dad liked that! I saw you got new speakers by default. Accidents happen. Been silently keeping up with your post. No grass growing under your feet! I cannot imagine how much better your system could sound? Your listening room was just “thick” with music. The acoustics in your listening room was off the charts. When you step out of the room, silence. Learned a lot. You were busy with about 3 people around you, so my wife and I told your wife what a nice time we had and to tell you thanks and it was fun. Plenty of nice people we met. I always wanted to see what a high end system was like. It was really worth being there. Yeah, I would love to see your new improvements. To meet and hear the CEO of SVS like that would be unreal. I am sold on SVS products. Even if Gary Y. Cannot make it, no big deal. Your event will be nice. Take Care.

can somebody give me a good rec on a reasonably-priced atmos sound bar?

do they really simulate a surround sound like experience?
