careful here. I haven't seen any ceiling fan smart switch solutions. Just a smart dinner won't work.
Are you talking about not seeing one when 1 switch controls the fan and light? Some Home Depot's have gotten the wink fan, but not the separate controller yet.
They have this if you have 2 switches for your fan: GE Fan Controller
I've had one of these for quite a while. It's one of the few HA items I paid full price for.

Wink v2 is out
The 2 hubs are compared side-by-side.
Curious about the auto-discovery of devices with wink 2 and the enhanced local control. Nice to see memory increased from 64mb to 512mb.

Excited for local control of robots. Hope it delivers

the original wink didnt auto-discover devices?
what does local control of robots mean?

Local control of robots should mean they execute faster and hopefully work if internet is down.

you had to select the correct device in the UI and walk through the pairing process.
i'm very curious how they can make 'dumb' zwave device pairing more friendly.

what mctiger said. plus right now your robots are stored on wink's servers with no 'download/export' functionality so if the company cloud goes belly-up or crashes, you lose them.
with them stored locally, hopefully in addition to them responding instantly to commands, we will have the ability to back them up.
i know i have about 50 robots now so i'm starting to get a little concerned about losing all of them.
the other existing problem with robots is you can't 'share' them with other wink user accounts (like family members) becuase they were in your account on wink.com.
with locally stored robots (on the hub) you should now be able to give access to the robots to more than one account (if you choose) and if they add a new robot, the master account should be able to see it.
before, if account B added a robot on their phone, you couldn't see it even if you were the wink owner.

my smartthings hub auto-pairs new devices.
If i'm understanding you correctly. you basically wire the device. Press "find new device" and then turn the zwave switch from off to on. and it finds it. and that's it.

not that easy on wink but not sure if that's by design.
you have 3-4 screens giving you animated instructions SPECIFIC to the device you are about to pair, explaining how to enable the zwave, how far away it should be, etc. then hit 'pair' and flip the device on and it pairs it.
i like those instructions because its not always clear to me on some things i buy how to make them 'ready' for pairing.

How long before reviews start popping up to verify no bugs or software flaws are present?

Looks like they will never be compatible with the original hub so cad should buy all of us new hubs for telling us the bulbs would work. I know he was not specific regarding the need for an updated hub, but.....frick cad.

To those of you who have the Schlage lock did you buy the matching handle as well? If so, where did you get the handle?

Yep, I don't want to have to keep BT on all the time or use another app so I put them back in the box after playing around with them for a day.

I just reinstall/uninstall the app each time I need to change their settings. Definitely not ideal.
