I ordered through Apple a few minutes ago (64GB, black). It is scheduled for the 19th.
Only problem: I got an error when adding Apple Care + to my cart. That's a big screw up for Apple. Guess I'll buy it in store after the phone arrives.

Just for shits and giggles I tried just now to order a 64g 6 through Apple and it still says 9/19 delivery.
The 64g 6+ says 3-4 weeks. Apple miscalculated the numbers. Not enough 6+'s.

You got the 6 right? You can still get them at 9/19.
People are ordering the frick out of the 6+. I got a feeling there will be a lot of returns for the 6 once people actually get it in their hands and how big it is... It's going to be really awkward for small hands people aka women.

I did (verizon). Ordered via the apple store app at 2am
ETA:tried ordering for the wife at 2am via att.com....no confirmation email, so i did it again
Just ordered from apple.com and got 9/19 and still got the $199 price
SO, either the att site didn't process my TWO orders last night, or I'm getting 3 iPhones for $199 each

I awoke at 5:45 like any other morning. Went to apple store app on my iPad. Bought the iPhone 6 64GB, had a confirmation email by 5:50 saying it will be available for pick-up at the Apple Store on 9/19.

I wasn't planning on it, but accidentally woke up at like 4 and figured I'd just go knock it out.
I said earlier I was hoping the multiple versions would help with the supply and that looks to be about right. I didn't see people flocking to the 6+ though

first time I've done a non in store pick up for a phone, how do they work it if I can't be there for the delivery?

It is good to have friends in the right places. I was able to order 2 iPhone 6+ to receive on the 19th just now. I didn't have to get up at night. Sold one for 3 times the price. Mine will be free now with some money in my pocket. I love the people that just have to get something the first day.

It looks like this is exactly what is happening.
Both AT&T and Apple told me 3-4 weeks. I got in to AT&T at 3:30EST. There are currently 6s available for 9/19 delivery.
Makes no sense. Apple: "Yeah, let's cram the good specs into one version of the phone and not make enough of them...brilliant".

Well, I got my confirmation emails for 2 phones, both ordered using the same upgrade. We'll see what I'm charged and if they're both at the upgrade price, I'll be selling one on Ebay.
