When I've bought new iphones in the past i do it around 5:00AM. I've always got my phone in the first shipment. I'm sure this time will be the same.

So the 6.1" screen on the iPhone XR doesn't even have a 1080p resolution. The resolution is 1792 x 828. That's inexcusable.

Neither the XS and XS Max have a 2K display either. Apple is a fricking joke.

I'm with you on the XR display, but the XS and XS Max displays are 2436x1125 and 2688×1242. So they aren't 2K, they're better than 2K.

Actually both of them fall short of 2560 x 1440 with the Max only having slightly taller resolution.

The freaking 8 Plus had a 1080p resolution. Why in the hell are they going backwards?

2k isn't 1440p, it's 2048×1080

LINK

1440p is technically 2.5k

How does that compare to 7 and 8?

What's up with Xr not having two cameras? I'm guessing it only has a front facing camera bc Apple wants everyone to use face login?

I'm not a selfie guy and don't take a ton of pictures but this is pretty damn lame on Apple's part. Get everyone used to front and rear cameras then make the phone with the lowest price point have only one camera.

ETA: Did some research and see the XR has front and rear cameras but only one lens on the rear camera.

The iPhone XR does however still have a portrait mode, but the bokeh effect is created using software rather than a second camera.

So what's the actual difference if you still get the "bokeh effect"?

How does the Xr camera compare to the old X camera? Really not seeing any reason to spend a few extra hundred dollars for the Xs instead of the Xr.

I don't doubt it. I don't think there's a middle age Mom on the planet who doesn't rock a pink Apple watch

My wife. I asked her if she wanted one, she gave me a face and said, "I have a Rolex, wtf would I want an Apple Watch?"

I love having calendar appointments and reminders on my wrist. I like being able to tell my wrist "Open the garage" or "raise the thermostat to 73º". I'm constantly forgetting where I put my phone so being able to ping it is awesome. Going for runs without my phone is nice. Taking hands free phone calls anywhere is awesome. It buzzing my wrist while I'm using gps directions is awesome. Being able to quick reply to text messages is great. Unlocking my computers is nice. Controlling my TVs with it is convenient.

i have never controlled a single thing in my house from my watch. alexa handles it and the first thing i do when i get home is dump the watch on the charger in the bedroom.
