Still really happy with my N6. Performance and battery are still great for me.

Same, I wasn't planning on upgrading to the new one this year unless it blew my socks off which appears there is no chance of that happening.

If the moto X is the size of the N6, that is the only thing that will turn me away. I love my G3 footprint with the large 5.5 inch screen. I can stand for just a hair larger, but not much. I feel like the nexus 5 2015's 5.2 inch screen will be too small. The G3's 5.5 with a tight bezel is perfect. 5.7 is pushing it.

Yeah, and after having an N6 I won't go any smaller.

In other news, I got a Project Fi invite today. Probably won't use it though.

I may actually try a windows phone next. Hope marshmallow doesn't flop like lollipop. It killed my Note 4 which I loved on Kit kat.

I don't suck at tech. It just killed the performance of my Note 4. It could just be lollipop sucked for Samsung phones.

Do they design the cases to cover up these protruding cameras?

well I'm considerably less excited about the Nexus 5 now. That's unacceptable in 2015.

Source: New "Nexus 5" By LG Will Feature Snapdragon 808, 5.2" 1080p Display, 3GB RAM, 2700mAh Battery, USB-C, And More

quote:

The battery is a 2700mAh pack, which may sound small today, but remember - the 5" Nexus 5 shipped with a tiny 2300mAh battery back in 2013, and even the Galaxy S6's battery isn't all that large, at 2550mAh. 2700mAh on a 5.2" device sounds solidly average, though that's likely to disappoint some Nexus fans if it doesn't come with a promise of greatly-improved power consumption characteristics.

they might but definitely not with this one

never really understood why charging your phone once a day is such an inconvenience for some people?

sure, itd be great to have longer lasting batteries, but i do not see how that is a deal break especially since the old nexus 5 gets ~15 hours with frequent usage (the new one would obviously perform a little better)

I charge my phone everyday but in this day and age you'd at least expect a certain size battery in these large phones. If this thing comes out with Sony Z3c type battery life, I'll eat my crow.

The S6 battery is pretty good I've heard, and this thing has a bigger battery with a 1080p screen vs the S6's QHD display...so I'd venture to say the battery should be quite good.

This is the first time I've ever been disappointed with the Nexus line, the 5 may be fine but I have no interest in that screen size or the specs in general, and the new 6 looks just awful. I feel like Google made a deal with Huawei that helps them overseas greatly, but in return they got to make the new N6 and brought over that funky overseas design and it is going to flop so hard.

Luckily I didn't plan on upgrading from my current N6 but still, really disappointing.

+1

The only thing I have grown to dislike is screen size, but that's a preference, not a problem.. And I'm probably in the minority. I can't type with one hand and I have fairly large hands. I want something a little smaller.

A week out from their debut, more leaks are coming.

Names are Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.

Nexus 6P to offer 128GB storage option and possible (rumors are strong) microSD slot.

quote:

Earlier today we heard that Google had sent out press invites to an event on the 29th of September, we are expecting to see the new Huawei Nexus 6 at the event, along with the LG Nexus 5 and a new Google Chromecast.

Now we have some more details on the Huawei Nexus 6, it will apparently be the first Nexus smartphone to be offered with a 128GB storage option.

There will apparently be three storage choices on the new Nexus 6, 32GB, 64G and the top model will come with 128GB.

We previously heard that the new Nexus 6 will come with a 5.7 inch display that will have a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the handset will be powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and it will also feature 3GB of RAM.
