I currently have an iPhone 6. It just made 3 years with me and has been an excellent phone, but my ear speaker finally went out. I was looking at the different phones online and was curious why everyone wouldn’t get the iPhone SE? Can someone tell me why I should get the iPhone X or iPhone 8 over the SE?

I’d love to get an android but iMessage ruined this world so I’ll stick with the iPhone.

If you can hold off until October you can get a revised version of iPhone X or get the older one cheaper.

I had an iphone 6 that crapped out and have been using my old lg g5 for about 3 months. It too has taken a crap, so I ordered an iPhone X that will be delivered any minute. I got the X over the 8 because of the display to be honest. iMessage is the number one difference maker to me, if it wouldn’t be for that, I probably would have bought a Pixel 2. I like both operating systems, don’t really prefer one or the other. If you don’t like something on an android, there is always a way around it.

This is my EXACT mindset. I want a Google Pixel 2 really bad, but it isn't worth the hassle of removing iMessage

why everyone wouldn’t get the iPhone SE?

The SE has the same chip as the 6S, so it wouldn't be much of a hardware upgrade if you wanted another phone to use for 3 years. The SE has the 4-inch screen size, which some people prefer, but I feel like it is too small after using a 6S plus for a couple years. Maybe you can use a backup phone until the next round of phones-- it is only a couple months away. Then you'll have more choices and better prices on the older ones.

I got the phone about an hour ago and have been getting everything set up how I like. Using the iphone x is a lot different than my 6. Screen is beautiful, feels solid and well built, I really like it so far. It will take some getting used to, but once the gestures become second nature, I think it will be an awesome device.

So you're getting a specific phone because others like it?? Apple execs are giving themselves a huge high five right now lol

Haven't had an iPhone in years but I seem to remember that you can turn these off. So, if I can turn it off, what good does it do for you to have the iMessage feature?

Man, you seriously need self-awareness training. Reminds me of DisplacedBuckeye. shite always happens when he posts, and he can never figure out why.

Last year there was a delay on the X, until November. May be the case this time to.
