I keep getting phone calls from people saying, "someone from this number called me". It looks like some scumbag telemarketer has spoofed my number. Is there anything I can do to correct this?

I'd call my carrier and see if there's anything they can do. That shite is so annoying.

If Trump could fix this spoofing issue, his approval would go to 80%.*

Had the same thing happen the other day. Got into quite a heated argument with someone that wouldn't believe I didn't actually call them.

Other than change your number, there isn’t. Th spoofers don’t actually use your number to make calls, they just feed the caller I’d system your number. Typically, they buy blocks of local numbers from telemarketing phone list sellers and use an automated system to pull from those numbers, some may even simply use local phone listings. Just another ploy to try to get you to actually answer.

Something like this happened to me yesterday. My insurance agent texted me to ask what I need from him? I told him I had no idea what he was talking about. He said someone with a blocked number left him a message to fax my insurance docs to some random fax number. And the return number he left was mine. WTF!
