I currently have ac1900 router and an extender the real problem is my house has cinder block walls will going to to a mesh system be the better option

Im looking at the linksys velop dual band is there a better option

Is there a mesh system that is lower than 2.4 ghz for better range

Yes.

I haven't really shopped around, can't help much here.

I don't think range is so much your problem as simply not having enough access points. You just need less concrete blocking the line of sight between your wifi source(s) and where you want to be.

That said, I really need to look more into all the different mesh systems. I think the node-to-node communications stay out of the wifi frequency ranges to minimize interference in most setups.

It doesn't get much worse for wifi.

Yeah, you're going to have to place nodes where at least one of them can "see" into every room through the wood/sheetrock wall.

I read that the lower ghz the better signal will penetrate dense materials but will be slower speeds

frequencies are set by the IEEE standards, so your only options are 2.4 and 5. Asus or netgear, for example, can't just create a system on a new frequency for the hell of it.

I prefer Orbi RBK50/53’s due to throughout performance

I was thinking the same thing. My high rise condo in Jacksonville had concrete walls all over, but I figure that’s because it was a high rise.

Would be neat if every room in my house had a toilet.

The house was built inlate 70's the original owner worked commercial construction during college. When he built he did it this way because he was familiar with the methods
Cider block walls filled with concrete. All floors are 1" mortar bed with 1"terra cotta tile and tile roof. every room in the house has door that goes outside so yeah basicly everyroom has a bathroom freaking 16 exterior doors.

Look into Plume. They have the small pods you can place in every room if needed. It was worked well for me.
