Mesh WiFi with Uverse

I have come to the conclusion that I am in need of a mesh WiFi system, but I need to find one that works with UVerse.
Our Uverse router/gateway is in the basement, and the signal is piss poor by the time it reaches our master bedroom which is on the second floor and at the opposite end of the house.
If at all possible I don't want to have to bridge the Uverse box because of the tv boxes and the IP ranges assigned to them.
Are any of the mesh systems able to be run so they function just as APs and not have to be routers establishing the IP addresses?

ATT has their own mesh system and we like ours. It came with our internet as a bundle.

I had not heard of that. Is that the Airties system?

I use the google WiFi system. When we first got it we had ATT. It worked flawlessly. Now we have Comcast, still works perfect

yeah the airties. I think it may just be an extender but it definitely works well.

Yes, just disable the AP on the Uverse box. Then hard wire the first node in the mesh network to the wan port on the Uverse box. Setup your mesh network and you are now up and running with very little difference. I used TP-Link mesh network to do this, works very well.

I use eero and just turn off the wifi capability if the ATT modem/router.
Works amazing.

Eero is the mesh system I decided upon.

the airties are full mesh with ethernet backhaul if that is desired. They work great if you have an att router that works with them.
