Locked out of Facebook

Ordinarily I wouldn't give a shite if Facebook locked me out or not. But I was in the process of selling some Klipsch speakers when I got a logo of a chest with a chain around it and told me my account was locked. Every link they provided to show me how to unlock it was a totally useless.
Do you just wait it out? Or what? Any tips? I really would like to get those expensive speakers sold.

Now they are making up with me and sending me unlock information. Had to send them more confirming info. Heck, it was their breachy system. If they get my speakers moved for me, it will be worthwhile, otherwise I'll cancel once again.

Sounds like you're being hoodwinked. Exactly what "confirming info" did you send "them"?

Sounds very sketchy. How much info did you give them? I’d try to contact FB tech support and see if they can help.

I checked it out and it actually IS a Facebook policy to require photo ID to unlock an account. This sucks for sure and will be cancelling my account once again.

quote:I see that this is sometimes the case, which I have to say is an incredibly, mind-bogglingly stupid policy. It's far too easy to trick people into thinking their account has been "hacked", and then follow up with this "official" policy of asking for photo id and whatever else.

Yet they do not support voter id.
