We do not watch tv aside from football and maybe a little CWS baseball. Seriously, that's it. Currently paying $103/mo for Dish. I'm confident we can get the locals easily (Bluebonnet & Jefferson), but what would you do to get the ESPNs/SECN in my situation?

Sling Orange $25 + Sports Extra $5
Then get an antenna.
That's all you need.

If you DVR network shows, check out Tablo. It is a box that you run your antenna to. Add a HD and it hav DVR functionality. It connects to your Network and you access both live and recorded content via an app on your tv. It saves you running antenna to every tv.

Thinking about Youtube TV as soon as Xfinity tries to go up on me again.
Couple of questions, though. I still need Xfinity Internet service, so I can't cut them out completely, but what speed is sufficient? I think I have 25mbps now and everything works fine when streaming, but how will that be different if we have three or four TVs going at one?
Also, what's the risk of hitting the data cap when streaming EVERYTHING?

You need about 6-9Mbps down per device, but don't forget your upload. I would upgrade service to at least 50/5

I think the next one is 60 down. I imagine that would cover it easy.

ESPN+ is their streaming service. I think it's like $5 a month. If all you truly want is locals and SEC and ESPN that's all you need with an antenna.

I have kids, so that wouldn't work.

ESPN+ does not include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNNEWS, or SEC Network.

This ESPN+ is garbage.
I did the trial because to watch football for the small school I went to, but the quality was terrible - so I dropped it.
